Funny thing is that every one of these listings is against ebay policy as you can't list an item for presale with a finish date more than 30 days before you would ship it.

So women should have choices, unless those choices go against what people think is bad for them, gotcha.

I have the PS4, camera, and two move controllers so for me it's...WAIT! I forgot 6.5% tax! Those liars it's actually $425! /s

3736d ago 4 agree3 disagreeView comment

No it's not, all the processing for graphics comes from the PS4, the extra box handles the audio, frame projection (I believe), and splitting the video to send to the headset and tv at the same time.

Not going to happen, VR can sacrifice visuals for fps because it's going for immersion, normal games aren't going for that and so you'd notice the drop in quality over the frame rate. Imagine two sliders (simplified) fps on one side and effects on the other, can't have both of them pushed to the max, as one goes up the other has to go down. (and then you add AI/sound etc. into the mix taking processing power and it gets more complicated.)

+Artemidorus I wouldn't knock it before you try it, if it goes right then you're basically going to have a 200+ inch TV in front of you. Watching a movie on your 55 inch TV? Watch it in your personal cinema instead etc. Worth a try at least.

It's less about quality and more that when watching a movie etc. there is no response in camera angle when you move your head.

Your brain isn't expecting a response when you move your head but in VR when you move the image needs to move fast enough to be under your natural refresh rate and move with you (else it's vomit time).

If you're sat in cinematic mode and you can't 'look around' (picture the GearVR/cardboard cinema apps wher...

Just reproduce every frame twice exactly as copies. 60 frames = mimicking 30fps. I expect 1% of the profits.

But there's a complete SKU with the PSVR, camera, and move controllers (I'm sure in addition to one including a PS4). Personally I have a camera and move controllers so I just want the headset and external box.

So...it's $300 CHEAPER than occulus right? And that's too expensive? Do people even know how much a good heads up display is that ISN'T VR? They run $800 or higher. But this is way too expensive, okay.

I do wonder how quickly it'll be hacked to have drivers for PC though, I mean the PS4 remotes were closed system and now they can be mapped to mobile phones and PC's. The remote play app was ported to other phones etc. so I don't see it as impossibl...

Yes except that is the only thing that you can do on the Xbox and this is a secondary feature on the PSVR and it's a good bit cheaper as well.

Thank god they didn't include the camera and move remotes in the base package, I already have 2 move remote sets (from PS3) and the PS4 camera (from launch) this would just be pure wasted money for me. They are going to release a bundle with those in it but I'd rather pay $399 for the headset than $499 for the bundle. I can't imagine I'm alone in owning those things.

Did we all forget that the reveal was in 2013? Now it's 2016, so about 2 1/2 years later. If they'd been showing clips with the 2013 graphics constantly then I think it's a legit complaint, but they've been using recent graphics for like a year at least is my understanding.

Was anyone actually blindsided when they loaded it up and thought "WAIT! This doesn't look like the trailer shown at E3 before the PS4 was even released!" *furious online ty...

And actually less if you pre-order through Amazon and are a Prime member as you get 20% off.

So you're saying I should review SMITE or LoL as terrible because I don't have reliable internet, gotcha.

So...a console can't output graphics the same as what we class as the 'cutting edge' of computing? News at 10, find out what our residents think of their water being wet at 10:05.

I won't get to play this but ... how about not wanting to essentially wipe out their download limits just playing the game? Some people have bandwidth and might want to watch the cutscenes elsewhere or download them somewhere else or just plain skip them (I know they'll miss out).

I get frustrated when I'm forced to re-watch a cutscene I've already seen and that's when they're short! Let along the 22 minute live action clips or however long they wer...

@walter

Except if people buy UC4 first then they may feel like they're good with their allotted game purchases, as is people who were going to buy UC4 are still going to buy it and now they may feel like picking up RC when they weren't going to.

So Gamestop will pricematch Amazon? Never seen that before.

I would be surprised if that drop rate hadn't been altered for the beta to get as many varied weapons etc. out there as possible and show the kind of things you can look forward to as opposed to it being the regular rate.
