Ah but there's more... With LoH:TiTS I discovered XSeed and the Y's series that I will have to buy so the Go is a go. Who knows how many PSP RPGs I've missed. The digital download versions might still be playable on the NGP.
What kinds of Cons are these?
Cons :
May be a bit too long for a handheld game
Although it sounds great, the music tends to be too catchy.
I'm actually playing LoH:TiTS now and I have to say that it is the first RPG I've picked up in quite a while that pulled me right in and keeps me there. It is delightful.
I like it so much I ordered my first PSP Go just to get ready for the next two in the series.
I will happily support both handhelds as long as I can find decent RPGs to play on them. If the quantity and quality of RPGs are equal I'll probably be happiest with whichever one has the biggest brightest screen. These eyes aren't getting any younger.
Sony is really good at things like adding Wii motion controls to the PS3 and DS touch screen functionality to the NGP. Actually they do a good job at improving upon someone elses ideas, they just never seem to be a real innovator. I guess they are a born follower as a company.
oh big whoop. More jumping around games. More shooting people games. More pretend your driving really fast games. I can hardly wait. sigh. Sounds like the end of creativity to me.
I think game developers need to think of a way for a digital copy of a game to wear out the same way a book or a car wears out. Maybe the second person to use the disk would get a slightly scratchy sound track and blocked out pixels now and then. By the time the disk has been used for more than a hundred hours or so maybe it could skip parts or have guns misfire or NPCs simply not be there any more. This would make buying a used game similar to buying a used car. "Sorry, the quest giv...
Fraid not. PSOne was lovable but I think the PS2 was the last lovable gaming machine. Don't love my PS3 or WII or 360 or DS (well, maybe DX XL) or PSP. Love my IPhone though. Maybe I would love theGO, but it's the only one I don't have.
I don't understand why this problems goes on. Surely Sony has access to a clan of ninja assassins. Surely they do.
I just started Legends of Heroes: Trails in the Sky and it's a wonderful old-school JRPG from Falcon & XSeed. Why is it that people want JRPGs to be something other than they are? People that love the genre want a great story and deep characters more than action game play but reviewers don't seem to be able to comprehend that.
Sometimes I just want to scream when I hear things like "too much text" or "turn based battle system" as negatives...
I wish Sony would announce that they will migrate UMD purchases to the NGP. Sales are gonna suffer for people that don't want digital downloads.
I got a screen saver once. Other than that I find nothing worth having. A Zelda coffee mug would be great but oh well. I think they had something I actually wanted once but it was gone before I got there.
I also remember the days when renewing a subscription to Nintendo Power magazine would get you a game guide or something else worthwhile. That was in the past though.
I bet they are already working on a plan to do digital trade-in and resale. All those people that hate GameStop will flock to their site if they can trade in a game and by a used copy for $5 less that a new copy.
blurble meh gah I just don't like them bleh yuck.
YaY!!! I stumbled upon this the other day and ran to Gamestop to get a copy. They didn't have it yet so I pre-ordered a special edition. Still not in my hands but maybe tomorrow.
heh? I'm not sure if the comment is positive or negative. o_0;;
I can't figure out why they took their most successful game and changed it into a complete action shooter for the follow on. I loved the first game so much that I started a second play through as soon as the first one ended. With the second one I found myself dreading the next Big Sister fight every time I knew it was coming. I finished it to see how it would end but was tempted to quit many times before the end.
And PSP was so much better than the DS that Sony is now copying touch controls from Nintendo while Nintendo can't copy a thing from Sony because Sony does better at copying others than at inventing new things.
Sorry, the DS is just a better handheld gaming experience than the PSP no matter how much better the graphics were. PSP games didn't sell. Nobody wanted to make them and nobody wanted to buy them. I have a red psp and a green psp but didn't even play the ...
Yes, certainly the PSP was so much better than the DS - LOL - you guys are funny - that Sony improved on it even more with the PSP Go - another major technological advancement from the Sony boys. Yes sir - PSPs and UMDs - hehehe - games far surpassed that lowly DS in sales. oh come on now.
Nintendo really screwed up the release game lineup though. They may as well have let Sony pick the games for them. Other than that we all know that Nintendo knows what they are doing,...
I'm guessing Hotz's lawyers are kicking up a bunch of dust so it seems like they are actually doing something. If Sony gets worried they can just send some ninja assassins to extradite him to some dark and secret place and he will never be heard from again.
Yeah, you're right in that it would require a console hack so I would never take advantage of it, but this is one of those things that make me think the game companies are going a little to far.
I wouldn't mind it so much if they would give you the entire disk for free and let you pay for only the bits and pieces you actually play. There have been many games that I would not have paid for after playing the first hour or so because the disks were better used as shin...
Each day I pray that I don't turn into one of the whiny sniveling pathetic little Sonyboys. Oh man PS3ROCKS!!!! - lord, who cares - it's a toy - it's just a toy. Get a life!
At least I get a laugh out of the incredible seriousness with which you treat something as unimportant as a plastic game machine. With all the bad that is happening in the world you all focus your anger on people that think the 360 is a better toy than the PS3. Good Grief!!!!!!!
