This is America - land of opportunity! This kind of stuff sends the Walmart folks running out to buy something that has the potential of lawsuit. My little Bevis kant reed good cause 3ds hurted his eyes. I needs $$$ for my pains.

So very many shooting games. Zelda is a treat only similar to itself. KZ and Uncharted are more and more of the same old thing in a slightly different package. Although I guess they make the pimply face crowd feel a little manly. So yeah, I'd say Killzone and Uncharted are more for the kids.

Really don't need anymore jump around and shoot games. Don't play those on the console and certainly don't want more of the same on a handheld.

I'm not sure how someone could disagree with that statement.

Maybe some company could make a glove that provides feedback - in the palm for a sword strike or gunshot - on the front of the fist for a strike/punch - or on the edge of the hand for a chop.

Sorry Septic. I guess I took the "can't even code for something as simple as recoil" to mean what it said. My mistake.

Septic says: "can't even code for something as simple as recoil. Waste of space."

The "recoil" from a gun or the feedback when you hit something with a sword would have to be transferred magically through the air to your arm or hand since you don't need to be holding something while using kinect. I'm pretty sure accomplishing this with code would be more than a noble prize winning effort at the least.

oh - no exclusives? You serious? Zelda? Mario? You must be a real gamer if you don't know about those. People buy Nintendo hardware to play Nintendo exclusives. sheesh...

He forgot reason number 4 - Nintendo won't bring good games to North America. I was excited about both Xenoblade and The Last Story but Ninty doesn't think I'm worth the effort of porting them even though they will be localized for Europe. What's the point of spending money of the hardware when they won't bother to give me the software?

If these games fail to come to North America I will not purchase another Nintendo system as difficult as that will be for me.

Spenok - I never had such fear in a game as when I was a lowly whm trying to get the teleport scrolls and had to sneak and invisi around the beastmen lairs knowing that if the spells wore off I was a they would be having taru for dinner.
My son started a new character and was surprised to find pixies flying around that will heal you and buff you if they see you need it. What a nice addition.

My son and I just restarted FFXI this week because neither of us have ever found an MMO we like more. If that port happens I'll be grabbing 2 of the systems as soon as they are available.

I didn't mean to imply that there wouldn't be things in this game that are new and different. I just don't like games with constant action and jumping and shooting loads of enemies. I don't want to fly through a city hooked to a roller coaster rail and fling myself from platform to platform. I would rather explore and discover and fight occasional battles. Constant action is boring to me even in the most amazingly beautiful world.

I was always a "day one" buyer for games like this, but after seeing "improvements" in Bioshock 2, FF XIII & XIV, and Dragon Age2 I am much more cautious about being first. The things I loved about the originals seem to always be changed to make them more action oriented and simplified. The more they talk about this game the more I believe I'll wait until in depth reviews show up before making it mine.

Looks like they took a wonderful, moody, atmospheric interesting game and turned it into another action shooter. I'll admit is one of the prettiest ones that I've see but I just can't stand a game where there is enemy after enemy and you stay busy shooting and can't enjoy the world you are in.

I loved the original, was annoyed by all the Big Sister battles in the second one, and am no longer looking at a first day purchase for this one.

meh - Nintendo won't even localize a few games for the Wii that many people want. Xenoblade? Would it be that expensive to just add English subtitles? I don't have much faith in them anymore.

It's a great idea. A used copy of a newish game at GameStop is only about $5 less than a new copy. They can still charge that price and include an online pass and make a profit. Not as much of a profit as they do now because the publisher will actually receive something. I'm sure that GameStop could work out a bulk purchase discount when buying the online passes from the publisher to include in their used games.

I waited because they pretty much offered old stuff and garbage and I hoped they would improve the perks. If I missed out - I don't feel I've missed anything important. A thirty day trial of PSN + is like a thirty day trial of WoW - no biggie - they use it as advertisement.

I was planning to get the Wii U as soon as it came out because I always get all new consoles immediately. This makes me reconsider. If Nintendo is unwilling to bring the good games to North America I guess I won't really need one. It will be the first "wait and see" for me.

5344d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Actually, Sony lost so much money on the early years of the PS3 they simply can't afford to release a console with a generational leap of power. They need to worry about Wii U because it will be as powerful as the PS3 and it will be something "new". All those parents that would be updating the Wii with a PS3 will now be able to go Wii U and have backwards compatibility with all the games they already own. And oh, by the way, there are a huge number of Wii owners out there.

5353d ago 4 agree5 disagreeView comment

So, what does 10 times more powerful mean? Does it mean game will be 10 times better - NOT! 10 time longer? Don't think so. How could a 10 times increase in processing power improve games at this point? I don't see a reason for a new 360 or PS3 any time soon. How much more realistic do we need graphics to be? That's the only thing that will be an improvement - the visuals. Only Nintendo is looking to improve the way games are played and they don't need to improve the g...
