OG Halo 2 was such a cheat fest. The game had huge host boons. They would be first in the match and could tell from pressing Select and seeing everyone else as a red X. They would receive an extra floating boost from a grenade explosion.
And that's how they knew they could press the Standby button on their modem and get away with it as everyone in the game lags but them... jerks.
The problem isn't the feature but the implementation.
Cross-Play was implemented illogically in certain titles. 343 attempts to do well in MCC with certain playlists filtering by input method. I believe there is a setting for it too for the user. But there isn't a specific PC/Xbox filter.
Other companies don't attempt input method filtering but have an all-platforms or nothing approach. Some have different Cross-Play for Switch than other plat...

When you have an open world racer, what features can really make it feel not-samey, aside from what they're already doing?
New event types, new vehicles not in earlier iterations, a new varied environment with improved detail/effects? It's a racer at the end of the day, you'll be using two triggers and a single stick 90% of the time. Or mix it up and use manual shifting.
Around a week ago another person here and I were stuck on Biome 3. They made it through but I'm still stuck on it.
Something about this game I just keep... not getting good at. The drones. The lasers. The stupid squid floaty things in Biome 1 that track you with their beam.
I know this will likely get a lot of disagrees but dang, I wish they had a dedicated Revival room always outside of a boss area. The randomly generated ones I learned the other day...

I realized this only a week ago. Consoles go to the TV which outputs to my receiver, so I've always kept my receiver powered off with a headset in... that headset being the Xbox Wireless one (so this isn't just for wired plug-ins)
