One of my most beloved Final Fantasy songs recreated in my most anticipated game of the year. This is really nice.
So far I've only seen these music levels moving side-to-side... but I expect after some more time with the game we're going to see level like this... but far more complex. I realize it's probably not easy to recreate a song and no doubt a good many hours must have gone into it. However, I can see these levels getting more sophisticated and designed in less straight...
It's gamers like him that are some of the worst to play with. I can understand getting frustrated... but you should retain some level of composure, especially if you're out in public like that. Yeah, I've seen and heard worse... but he was still being an arse. Whether or not the other guy was partially to blame for the loss you can't really know... but he didn't lose it even after that kid threw a fit. You shouldn't take your rage out on someone else.

While I wouldn't agree that PS3 owners "don't buy games"... I also don't feel that this title will sell all that well. Not simply because of the textures and small technical gripes that people have had with it.... but mostly do to the fact you brought up. There's just too many high-profile games coming out around the same time. Games that are in fact new, like those you listed.
Of course I could be wrong... but sadly I think Bioshock will get lost in the shuffle. Had ...
I'm curious as to who dictates what a 'AAA' game is. Is it review scores? Sales? If a game is released to average reviews but is a success on the sales charts... what is it considered? If a game is released to very good reviews but poor sales... what is it then?

So many great looking fighters on the horizon. I'm simply stoked about all of these titles. I've been thirsting for new fighters for awhile now. It's looking like this genre could really start to flourish once more. It would be a beautiful thing to my eyes.

I am very impressed. There's so many spectacular levels that users have created already within the beta and I love the game remakes like Mario Brothers, Space Invaders, Tetris and all those... but as much effort as I'm sure it takes to make any of those... I think it's very interesting to see what comes out of player's own imaginations. When all they have is a concept in their head to go by...
Agree with you all, and right on Thom! Too many 'gamers' are getting caught up in the little details that they're missing the bigger picture.
For those people who played GTAIV on the PS3 and Halo 3 on the 360 and enjoyed them... I doubt anything changed when/if they found out the games were running below 720p. I mean it's just silly that these types of things have become something to use in arguments over quality. If it was huge framerate problems or other issues that directly...
It's ok, AAACE5. I do want that edition and trust me I thought about it well before I went through with my decision. I know not everyone would feel it's worth it... but I've been a DVD collector as well and I always like to have the very best edition (in terms of what's included) and it was a bit of a joke when I talked about my 'financial situation'. I'll afford it just fine with the holidays coming around and the only way I'd end up regretting it is if the game itself really sucked.

I actually preordered the Ultra Limited Edition of Dead Space. Though I worry with what financial situation that puts me in. No doubt EA wishes to take me over as well.
I'm not sure I'd say it's the 'best'... but it would certainly rank very highly with me. "Snake Eater" is just an incredible thing and perhaps has evoked the strongest emotions with me throughout the series. Though I must say that "Calling to the Night" is another of my favs.

It's alright man, I can understand your excitement. If it plays as good as it looks then folks are in for a real treat.
As for which console is 'most' powerful, I don't think it really matters. Both machines ARE powerful and in my opinion close enough at this point that you're not going to have a vastly difference experience on either. What I mean by that is... I don't believe it will ever be such a difference that it's like looking at a Wii game in comparison to a 360 or PS3 g...
The recent clips have really shown that they've made the visuals shine. Of course it's not going for that ultra realistic look as Ted Price himself said... but the character models are quite nice in my opinion and I'm impressed by the mo-cap and level of expression they've gotten out of the characters. A few weeks ago I had relatively little interest in this title... but Insomniac has really polished this thing to a point where I can no longer 'resist' (pun most definitely intended).
