"Metal Gear Solid 4, Grand theft Auto 4, Rainbow Six Vegas 2, Resistance 2, Gears of War 2, Fallout 3, the list goes on."
The only thing I find 'disgusting' in there is GTAIV.
I understand what the guy is saying. I'd like to see some more variety... but if sequels turn out like MGS4 it almost makes you forget about anything else.
I want to see more diversity sure, but I think we'll be getting some in the coming months. And more than anyt...
Ah, I cannot wait for White Knight Story! Glad to hear they've got a roundabout date for us now.
Even better to hear that MGS4 has done so well. Good to see a deserving game get some great sales. Yeah, I'm sure people will come in here and say "Sony's counting SHIPPED as SOLD again!" or something like that. Whatever... but I'm tired of all these VGcharts numbers getting posted. Week after week they're proven wrong and they really should not be approved IMO.
Well, I'm not sure I'd say 'stupid', but I could see how some people might find it a little underwhelming. I won't include any spoilers, but I will say Yuna isn't exactly gifted in giving speeches to large crowds. lol
The review was nothing short of glowing and I don't see any score in the full review. I think whoever submitted this just tacked on the 6/10 to stir up things. If you read the review you'll see there's almost nothing negative about it.
EDIT: Geeze, everybody beat me to posting. lol
Final Fantasy X still stands as one of my favorite games of all time. It really is a game that should at least be given a chance by all who have even the slightest interest in the genre or series. It's funny how I can say it's easily one of the best games I've ever played, and yet I could complain about quite alot within the game. Tidus does occassionally become annoying with his clueless nature and dialogue delivery. At the same time there are moments (mostly his interactions with Yuna) that...
Well it's obvious with the way these guys are talking that they don't even 'understand' SSBB. I always get this feeling with the way some people talk about the game. It's as if they write it off because on the surface it seems like your average party type game with little depth. I suppose it's not the quickest game to really get into and grasp the depth of the mechanics... but many appear to think it's for casual gamers or something. It can be fun for newcomers, but once you've learned all th...
Really Kotaku is ridiculous. I think I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen articles like this on N4G. Has any game's cinematics ever been talked about this much? If it were an RPG no one would be complaining and even being an RPG fan I'll go ahead and say there's none out there that could touch MGS4's gameplay IMO. Not to mention if you think this game has long cutscenes and the previous entries in the series haven't been just as drawnout then I don't know what's wrong with you. I ...
I can't say I don't expect this kind of thing in the comments section for these type of articles, but c'mon people. I believe all Hirai is saying is that the PS3's power is finally being tapped into. I think if you look at the games they've got coming out in the coming months it's obvious that the biggest and most technically advanced games are right around the corner. This happens with every console in its infancy. It takes time for developers to learn how to harness the full capabilities of...
This is... incredibly news worthy.
Haven't play an SC game since II... but my little brother's getting this game and I must say it's look quite good. The character creator is looking awesome!
Well I think he could have chosen his words much more wisely. But y'know... if they did show something more at E3 and it was sh!t... that might be the last nail in the coffin for a game that has lost almost all its hype due to development time.
I have never played a Socom game before. After watching this video I think I'm going to have to start with this one. True the graphics aren't very impressive... but the gameplay looks tight!
Well I think the game has improved visually as much as you'd kinda expect it too since the last one came out. It certainly doesn't look exactly the same as some will claim. However it's also not a HUGE leap like others will say. All in all it looks nice, and I'm actually quite looking forward to the multiplayer in this game. It seems Epic has really put alot more into that and for me that aspect of the game was rather lacking in the first.
I must say the biggest difference betw...
Aww hell nah! You know after this gets out, every wii owner is going to be controlling there own robots. We're going to have f*cking wiibots everywhere, breaking into our homes and destroying our 360's and PS3's. You just watch... it's gonna be I, Wiibot except all the robots will be controlled by angry wii fanboys who are pissed that people have been telling them they're not getting an actual workout. Microsoft is going to have there wiimote clone at E3 and Nintendo is going to unveil their ...
Well I personally believe we should have more grey characters in video games. Kratos is good... but we greys are still the most overlooked minority when it comes to game characters.
You see the numbers. Just imagine how many consoles FFXIII is going to move in Japan. They're going to need riot police with the kind of demand that game is going to have.
Oh man, that last one would have been great if they included a sequence like that in MGS4.
"So THAT's why it's called Snake's final mission."
I swear you have to either be an idiot or not have played Brawl enough if you call it a button masher. It's so much the opposite and far more deep than alot of 'combo-based' fighters. Then again I don't even consider it in the same genre. What I'm saying is... if you actually spend enough time with the game you will see it's faaarrr from just about smashing buttons. There's no way a button masher could come in a beat me or any 'experienced' player in that game. It's almost as stupid as the Ro...
All I can say is that the team behind Ico and SoTC produces some of the most astonishing atmosphere in there games. The first time I played Ico I was just amazed with how the game makes you feel. There hasn't been another game I've played that's given me quite the same feeling. SoTC didn't even do that for me, though that game is still excellent and one of a kind. I think Ico was a little more about the ambiance and environment whereas SoTC delivered increasingly epic battles that I think few...
The guy says it took him 20 hours to beat. In another thread someone already said that on the bonus disc it mentions there are 8 hours of cutscenes. Hmm... how odd... that doesn't seem to be "more movie than game". Not even half movie in fact! Oh, wait the load times... yes, I wasn't aware there was OVER 2 HOURS WORTH! God, what these idiots will say to bring the game down.
"What amazes me the most though — and the main reason I’m writing a whole article on this ...
