Ah, I was hoping it would be a little funnier. I think he just went a bit too far with the insane metaphors. Worse articles have been approved though. I don't think it's particularly interesting... but even if there are genuine complaints under what he says... it seems to be more focused on attempting comedy. To me it's more that than just plain old flamebait. Though the title is sure to draw the masses. Not sure it should be taken so seriously though.

Well, there's certainly some games on there you wouldn't expect. Team Fortress 2 I think surprises me the most actually.
I'm glad to see Shadow of the Colossus and Ico up there though. Those are probably the two most stunning games I've ever played. God, I can't wait to see what that team does with the PS3.

If you look at it from a logical standpoint each console has different things to offer. The 360 is great, that's why I have one of those too... but let's not pretend that every single person who owns a PS3 is a fanboy. Chances are many that bought a PS3 were PS2 owners and many that bought a 360 were PS2 owners. Not EVERY SINGLE ONE... but likely quite a few because there's so many freakin' PS2's out there.
Well said, and I'm a big movie lover/collector myself. I couldn't imagine not having a physical copy of any of my films. On top of that, if something happens with your harddrive you are f*cked! Imagine losing thousands of dollars worth of downloads. That's the thing I worry about most.

Why does a console need a defining mascot? Is it really better if a console has one or two games that completely overshadow the rest? The Playstation brand and consoles have always been successful because they haven't relied on just a few games. It was always the culmination of great, quality titles. Nintendo had the biggest mascots but they were never able to beat Sony (well, until the wii and wiping the floor with everyone).

It's actually a seems to be a bit more of an RPG. At the same time it appears to have fighting elements. It's an odd mix for sure. Especially with all the different franchises the game draws its characters from.

Just because it supports 256 players does not mean that every match has to have that many players. More than likely they'll have scaled down matches as well (perhaps levels that scale ala SOCOM). Resistance 2 supports 60 players but you could just do a match with a small group of people if you wanted to. Really I don't think I know of a single console game that 'forces' you into a huge group online.

I've come to the conclusion that there are no beta keys. Media Molecule is pumping out all these videos on youtube and such from their main headquarters. They've even gotten several accounts on N4G to comment on how much they're enjoying the beta. Even craftier... it appears they planned this out well ahead as some members who claim to have beta keys have been coming here for months or even years. They've thought of everything, those evil geniuses at Media Molecule.

On topic though, I really doubt Sony will charge for MAG. I could be wrong and we don't really have a ton of information on the game... but as others have said, Sony has these surveys that mean nothing all the time.
You can make your own bosses, set time limits (I believe), and create items for others to collect. As for the difficulty... I've heard and seen that the game can be very unforgiving should you choose to make it that way. You have to be precise with your jumps.
