Nintendo's "family-friendly" approach was a brilliant business move for them. They've kind of always been this way, even with the Gamecube... but this time they found the winning formula. I remember being such a fan of Nintendo, with even the Gamecube. Sure, it got its fair share of abuse being called a 'kiddy' system and not alot of people took it so seriously... and then they decided to essentially NOT go next-gen on the hardware side. This might have seemed like dumb choice at fi...
MGS4 is definitely my GOTY as well. At least so far... but I don't see anything coming out to change that. Even despite how great Gears of War 2 looks to be.
GTAIV as their #1 is pretty predictable if you ask me. Though the rest of their choices beyond those two are a bit of a surprise. Still haven't gotten to play Lost Oddyssey, however, I just LOVE how they go into say MGS4 is more movie than game. If it were an RPG such as Lost Oddyssey then no one would mention any of that....
I'm predicting it's a new IP and that it will be shown at E3. I mean, if the guy was so impressed with it than it's obviously in 'showable' form. It's not to good to overhype these things... but I have a feeling it'll be something big.
Some pubes in the next Animal Crossing might do the trick.
You'd have many happy gamers!
I mean, that's half the price of your average next-gen game release. Heck, that's less than some DS titles!
I must say my interest for this game has recently perked. Not a big fan of the first... but I'm willing to give this a try as it seems like it'll be a big improvement in many ways.
I'm also digging the box! Simple and clean (*is the way that you're making me feel tonight*).
Can anyone tell me what comes in the the LE? The box looks quite large and I'm interested in what you'll be getting. If it's yet been announced that is.
It's not like he was outright bashing the game. All he said was that the PS3 is capable of producing better graphics. That is true. However, it's also true that no SOCOM game has ever been a heavy hitter when it comes to visuals. I've personally never played a SOCOM game (this will be the first) but I know what they look like and I know the graphics mean very little for a game like this. It's all about the gameplay... and this is also a downloadable multiplayer-only game as others have said. ...
I'm sure you could get it elsewhere as well... but if you join Vimeo you can download it there. It's free.
I don't know if it's exclusive to the U.S. but that's what edition I got it with.
Eagle 21 might be a fanboy, but by posting all that sh!t tordavis made himself look just as bad, if not worse. Then again I only had to listen to one podcast to know he was a fanboy himself.
And Eagle 21 is NOTHING compared to some others on here. There's many more that I'd consider more 'worthy' of the title FBOTW. 1stKnight is just something else entirely. He's like a level 70 fanboy or something.
But really articles like this are just sad.
I think I need to celebrate now. Maybe shave down there. Not like I need it anymore now that I can get my fill in games, right! Ebay here I come!
Glad I could help though, man. Work can be a b*tch so here's a bubble! :)
Xbox 360 wins by a hair.
My God, we already have a dead xbox and two 360's that have bit the dust and need to be sent for repairs thanks to the RROD. Our Elite better not crap out too. Here I was hearing all this "RROD is fixed now." and "That doesn't happen anymore." This is really ridiculous.
I have this book. It's a nice extra... however I do wish it had more pages. It's quite large in size, but I was just hoping for a bit more artwork. Maybe some early concept designs and such.
I'm interested in why you think trophies are a joke when compared to achievements? It's true that trophies SHOULD have been there from the start and that if their inclusion in games doesn't become widespread then it's a bit of a waste... but would you care to explain why they're a 'joke' when they're essentially the same thing as achievements? Only executed in a different way.
Yeah, that is funny.
I haven't posted my PSN ID because I don't want just anybody here being able to send me messages. I can only imagine what I'd get from some N4G members. If anyone wants my ID they can always ask though.
As for Xbox Live, I don't have a gamertag yet. Or rather I had a trial a long time ago and it ran out. I do plan on subscribing but currently our router and such is giving us problems. Only for Live though... for some reason.
Well I'd still say the PS2 is the "home of RPG's". Though I will agree that this generation so far the 360 is leading the way.
I just don't understand the remark "FPS piece of crap console" when I don't really see the PS3 having an overabundance of FPS games now or a ton on the horizon. No problem with the 'crap' part if that's his opinion. I'm just hoping he'll explain a bit more on his remark.
But yes, it's great being a multi console owner....
The 360 has has TONS of shooters so I don't really know what you're getting at there.
I'm not saying you shouldn't get a 360. If you have the money then by all means do because there's great stuff coming out on both sides. But remember that the 360 had a year head start... and some really nice looking PS3 RPG's will arrive by early next year. You just have to be patient. I'm sure alot of these games will be worth it. Especially exclusives like White Knight Chronicles and Final ...
Well, I don't believe the list is entirely in line with what I'd choose... but it's what THEY voted on. It's their opinion. Some people complaining that it's all J-RPG's... well what do you want them to do? Add in some western RPG's they're not REALLY looking forward to just to cater to a wider variety of tastes?
I'm not trying to call anybody out or bash western RPG's... but this is just one website's picks. They're not spreading lies or saying there's nothing else out there. ...
I wouldn't be surprised at all if this were in the game. But who really cares that much one way or another? If it's in there it's just a silly little nod. I'd hardly call this 'whoring out the Halo franchise'. It's likely just a fun little easter egg if it's true. Or messing around with the character customization and/or accessories.
It's like the Tony Hawk games having Wolverine or Darth Maul. Though not even taken quite to that level.
