I just meant that I never get really into the stories in FPS games. In fact I usually don't get alot out of the single-player portions of FPS games. Heck, Half-Life 2 I wasn't even really that intrigued by. So I'm looking at Resistance 2...
I'm not so sure about that. If the combos are anything that Guilty Gear then they're not exactly as easy to perform as other fighting games. And I've seen top level players with that game... it gets frantic as hell! Though I'll say that those vids up there seemed to vary a bit. Like the beginning of one where they both just seemed to be spazzing out. lol
I honestly don't believe that Nintendo is now 'ruining' gaming. I don't even believe one company alone could do such a thing. On the contrary I think it's one of the best times to be a gamer. Why? This is actually my most wanted RPG on any console. Perhaps that will change after they show more of FFXIII and Versus... but right not this is just looking so fine. Even back in 2007 when they showed this game it was pretty visually impressive for an RPG. The battle system looks sick and if they've polished the graphics even more since then... wow!

The game just looks fantastic in terms of art direction. That last video with the ghost lookin' thing was just crazy. I'm really interested in this title.

Cahill, y'see... I only ever played the Resistance DEMO... and I just wasn't interested enough to buy the game. Not saying it was bad... just didn't really grab me. Also, as far as FPS games go I usually don't care very much about the main campaign. It's all about the multiplayer for me. I own a Wii, 360, and a PS3. I wouldn't call any of those consoles bad. Each has their positives and their negatives. That being said, I prefer my PS3 over all of them. Does that mean I hate the other two? No, not at all. I think the Wii and the 360 are good as well. Gears of War 2 is one of my most anticipated titles for this year in fact! I simply prefer the PS3 because it serves MY gaming taste/needs the best. I'd never go around saying it 'pwns all teh others' because it's just my opinion...
Should the Beta impress me enough I'll definitely be getting the Collector's Edition!

Microsoft and its $50 million DLC for GTAIV. They announce these things to build anticipation and perhaps give themselves a slight edge. It's no different than announcing games well before they come out. If they just waited until release day to tell everyone about a said game then there probably would be little interest and poor sales.
Now they're not 'selling' Home... but it could prove to shift even more momentum their way so it's natural they'd want people to know about it....
And I'm sure some will do no research on titles... peg games down to a certain type of gameplay based on a single short video clip... and go on blissfully ignorant.
The fanboys (as they're called) will be blinded by their bias and ignore all other aspects once again. -_-

The last few RPGs IGN's reviewed haven't seemed to fair so well with them. Tales of Vespiria being the only one to make it into the 8s. Been surprised by almost all the scores they've been giving out recently.
I'm still very interested in this one though... even if it'll be a title I hold off on till Christmas. And the other reviewer seems to have enjoyed it much more...

Well I'm glad to see people are giving some love to Street Fighter IV recently. While I'm extremely excited for that game... I am surprised it's at the top spot above alot of other big games. And Gears of War 2 not even making the top 10 is quite perplexing.
Nice to see they enjoyed Killzone 2 alot though.
