Oh man, I heard about this but I wasn't aware it was the same kid who did all those cardboard Halo weapons. That's just crazy. An unfortunate thing even though he should have known better.
I does strike me as a little odd he'd wind up shooting himself in the head. If he was practicing reloading... I wouldn't think the barrel would be angled towards his head at any point. I dunno... sounds strange... but it's just sad something like this happens when it could easily have been av...

I really don't know what you're talking about. They're offering free repair just as Microsoft has with the 360. I'm not saying they're any better than Microsoft with this particular laptop issue... but they're certainly no worse. One way or another they're fixing it.
Though just as with RROD... it should have been caught long before they hit store shelves.
Sony copies Microsoft once again! They've taken the 360's overheating features and put them in their laptops. Aw gawd, where's teh INN-O-VATION SONY?! ;)
I half expected someone here to say that... but actually be serious.
It seems to me like Microsoft is the little brother in the gaming industry so desperate to beat their big brother Sony. I really think this type of talk is ridiculous. I don't believe it's IMPOSSIBLE as you can never know for sure how things will go, however, it's just trash talking basically. Win first and then you can talk about how great you are. They're currently losing ground in the big 3 territories and that's something they have to fix soon. But I imagine even if Sony takes over worldw...
The co-op mode has been mentioned... but I don't think it's been confirmed as to how many players. Here's an article that mentions it...

I'm afraid I too must say I disliked Oblivion. Was never really that much of a fan of Morrowind either... but I actually enjoyed that one to a greater extent. It's strange... but Oblivion actually felt more shallow to me in some way. I'm not saying it's a bad game... but it just didn't do anything for me. Though I must say that recent videos of Fallout 3 have really started to make me see why some are very excited for it. I guess the E3 demo was an earlier build or something... because when I...
Those are some very good points! I'll admit, I had never thought about it quite in that way before. You've really helped give me yet another perspective to look at things from. Bravo, and I'd lend you some bubbles but it seems I must have bubbled you recently. I tend to give out bubbles often y'see.
That's really a great addition to the discussion though, assuming that third-parties are indeed able to find success on the Wii. Now that you bring it up too... it does seem that al...
I'd have to disagree. While I do think Spore looks to be a pretty nifty little title, I feel LittleBigPlanet has much more potential with its user-generated content.
The reason I say this is due to the way content is applied in these two games. Spore is essentally the same game no matter what you do. What I mean by this is that you're really only able to customize your creatures, ships etc. but the core of the game will always remain the same. It can only be played a set number...
I agree with you as well. Nintendo certainly struck gold this generation and I imagine the success will continue for a good while longer. In fact, they may not even have to worry this generation as by the time it does die out I'm sure they'll have sold a ridiculous number of consoles.
The real is: Will they be able to carry those users onto their next console? I'm not saying it isn't possible... but as you said it's likely going to take something just as 'revolutionary' for th...
I don't feel that casual gaming is killing hardcore gaming in the slightest. Y'know it's funny because I think this has only recently come up with the release of the Wii. At least I didn't hear anything like this back with the PS2, Gamcube, and Xbox.
In my opinion, while consoles such as the Wii and DS have certainly tapped into the casual market... it doesn't mean that's the way the industry is going. It may have opened the eyes of some developers who now see that you can mar...
Is Cops and Cheaters killing G4?
Answer: It's already dead.
(Like The Punisher apparently)
I'll have to wait a week because I have Qore. I would pre-order the game BUT I've never played a SOCOM game before so I want to make sure it's my style. I don't mind waiting though as my Warhawk will arrive in another two days.
Really psyched for this beta though, even if I'll be waiting a wee bit longer. Unless of course someone out their has an extra code they'd like to share? Haha, I'm not begging or anything. I just heard they give you a few codes with your preorder and may...
I think everyone should just wait and let the numbers speak for themselves. So many people throw their predictions out there and act as though it will happen simply because they believe it. I will include my opinion and predictions for the coming months... but keep in mind these are only my guesses and I realize I have just as much chance at being wrong as I do at being right.
If we're talking North America I think this holiday season will be close. I don't really think we'll s...
Gametrailers is good for some HD vids of the game as well...

There goes cutting edge breast physics in Final Fantasy and a Ninja Gaiden game with a story that makes sense.
While I agree that you shouldn't assume a game will be good based ENTIRELY on the developers past accomplishments. I do feel this is slightly different than what went on with Factor 5 and Silicon Knights. Both of those devs were doing games almost completely different from their past work (well Lair wasn't as different, but I think most of what killed it was the motion control). We're talking here about Level 5... a company that is renowned for making quality RPG's. They're definitely within ...
This is awesome news! This should really boost PS3's sales in Japan, and around the holiday season too!
I can only hope that we'll indeed see it sometime before March 31st as has been talked about. It was never stated whether that was just for Japan or not, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
But does anyone else think this looks ALOT like Team Fortress 2?
This is actually a bit old. I saw that video awhile back. I'm not sure how much of the game you've seen Bombibomb. but that particular trailer does seem to make the game look slower. They have some gameplay vids on gametrailers like this one...

The game looks to be considerably faster in these. Personally I think it looks great and I very much hope th...
