You're way off man. An arcade stick is easily the best form of control when it comes to 2D fighters (Street Fighter IV is on a 2D plane) and many 3D fighters. Not that there's anything wrong with playing on a pad of some sort, but there are certain motions that are extremely difficult or sometimes impossible on a pad. Of course this would probably only matter to those at high level play.

And yes, Mutley, Street Fighter IV will have online matches. In fact, the servers will be worldwide! Meaning you can face off against crazy good Japanese players if you so desire. Of course there would probably a ton of lag, but it's nice to know we have the option of braving the lag and playing anyone.
It'll be the Collector's Edition of Street Fighter IV for me this month! Along with my Tournament Edition arcade stick. Already got the both of them preordered. Glad I did too... because they seem to be getting difficult to find.

Wow, that's extremely surprising! Is this this world-wide or just America? If it's just America I'm even more shocked with the PS3's considerably lower install base. I guess exclusive DLC may not be that big of a draw afterall.

Yeah, I think I've only had it freeze up on me twice over the course of my 50 hours or so of play time. I have several save files though just in case something happens. In fact, every few minutes... sometimes every time I kill something (depending if there are other enemies around). I believe one of the only times it messed up on me though I had forgotten to save for a little while. So through all my precautions it didn't matter. lol
I don't even know how I'd get anything done...
A very solid score for a game that came out well over a decade ago. I mean, besides the graphics not much has really been done to the game so that's pretty impressive. Though I know some were looking for a bigger leap in this remake.
At any rate I am stoked and getting this the very first day it hits PSN! I simply cannot wait... and while SFIV is my most anticipated title... this will certainly be a nice little sum'n to tide me over till the 'main course' shall we say! :)
I'm really hoping for Capcom vs SNK 3. Ono talked about it being a possibility. MvC3 or CvS3 would really be a good move for them I think because the re-release of MvC2 is definitely going to bring some spotlight back to that game... and hopefully King of Fighters XII will help revitalize that series and generate some more interest in 2D fighters. I really wouldn't be surprised if we see BOTH at some point. We'll just have to see which comes first.
