I can build a PC at about £500 which PS3 at £300.
The PC will destroy the PS3 in multiplats and play high end PC exclusives really well.

All in all its about £1500 including Monitors on Hardware
However I've got over 350 games on PC coming to about £2000

Spent around £3500 on PC gaming in the last 4 years (Hardware & Software)
Some would say that is expensive but the consoles are much more costly in the long run.

Launch PS3 cost me £425 with 19" 720p TV costing me £200 then 32" costing £300 then PS3 slim at £250, never mind t...

Even though the PS3 was not direct feed with these shots you can clearly see the difference.

The foliage on PC is far more detailed.
Lighting and shadows look at lot more natural on PC.
PS3 is suffering from major aliasing plus its seems much more muddy and blurry.
Textures are a lot weaker on PS3, including where textures meet up.
M4 looks multiple times more detailed on PC
PS3 does not seems to have Ambient Occlusion
Does not ...

Yep PC day one.

DX11 Tessellation, 16xAA or SRAA (when released), 16xAF, 1920 by 1080 and 3D vision by Nvidia.

Plus 64 players, dedicated servers, regulated servers, custom servers, mods/user created content and much much more.

PC its only does everything.

My RIG (PC)

CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T @ 3.6GHz @ 1.32Vcore
GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 460 SLi @ 800MHz, 1600MHz, 4000MHz
PPU: Nvidia GeForce...

Call of Duty is for kids anyway (even on Hardcore).

Battlefield requires real skill (Hardcore or not).

This is a joke surely, SoC has been out for years
Plus this is not even a desktop processor.

If this only has around 350 million transistors then game over
With Sandybridge we are looking at 995 million plus remember the Xbox has the GPU.

Like OpenGL said its a completely different market, they could not release this chip on PC unless Windows 8 supports a even wider range of architectures.

I think there's some confusion with the Your/You're business, jerethdagryphon is correct by the way.

I believe people have been looking at the second YOUR within the statement or we defiantly have problems.

Still this is not an English Vs American English issue here such as 'colour' or 'color'.

"One of the few"

Nope you can spend around £400 and play this at better setting than PS3/360.

Also no matter what anyone says PC is cheaper than consoles fact, just get 100 games, them consoles will look like overpriced happy-meal toys with sub par games.

PC it only does everything.
Steam, the gamers choice.

Battlefield > Call of Duty
Hardcore shooter > Casual shooter

Battlefield 3 and PC

That is all your need for FPS games after November, until Counter Strike 2 comes out of course.

Guys

XDR is very quick but its only as quick as the bandwidth allows
PS3 XDR, the RAM is limited to 16bit bus no matter the clock speed is going to be impractical.

That GDDR5 could easily be clocked at 4GHz plus has a 256bit interface.

GDDR5 @ 4GHz = 160 GB/s on 256bit bus
XDR @ 3.2GHz = 25.6 GB/s on 16bit bus

Also you come out with comments like "1gb of DDR5 thats like 6/8 gig RAM on a pc"

Well I'm really confused to see why people would think this is expensive.

That GPU is almost 3 years old, its gone from a 55nm to 32nm (if true) which means its cheaper to manufacture.
Everything but the CPU has been around for a few years if not more. I'm calling $300 or less for launch.

Also not sure if anyone else has picked up on this but that Quad Core is hyper-threaded, its 4 Cores 8 Threads.

If the spec of this system i...

Had no problems with Fable III and I'm enjoying it very much.

I got The Witcher 2 also.

Already amassed 50hrs on Fable, personally I find the game witty, charming and exciting.
Much different to all other RPGs plus the story is not the generic RPG type that we almost expect every time.

Very pleased with it, already purchased the DLC, so glad I waited for the PC version.

Overpriced and Overkill but the spec is pretty bad ass.

No surprise about 4.8GHz these Sandybridge CPUs are awesome.

I agree with Peter

BTW I've pre-purchased Fable III Steam Version and Gifted it to one of my friends for Coop.

Can't wait finally Fable the way its meant to be played.

Its in Beta.
There is only like 5 people on the development team.
Its already Epic as it is.
More will come such as adventure mode and Zombie hunt.

Valve you only do everything in the favour of gamers :)

5429d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

No gaming company in the industry supports the community like Valve.

Also all their games are AAA.

5429d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Pretty epic how Rockstar has failed the PC community again considering PC made Rockstar what they are today.

They really needed to put Red Dead Redemption on PC and now LA Noire.

GTA IV on PC really made the PS3/360 versions look like jokes from a past generation.

Microsoft disabled my account until I re-entered my card details, You guessed it? Instantly removed from bank account but still had to wait for access.

I play on Steam and rarely on Games for Windows Live, don't play on my Xbox any more but still did not stop them disabling my GfWL account.
