3D Vision rating = games work perfectly.
Excellent rating = games work perfectly but not 3D Vision certified.

720p = 1280 lines horizontal times by 720 lines vertical, p stands for progressive scan
1280 by 720 = 921,600 pixels.

1080p = 1920 lines horizontal times by 1080 lines vertical.
1920 by 1080 = 2,073,600 pixels.

Progressive Scan (p) = lines are drawn on each frame at the same time in 1 field.
Interlaced (i) = lines are drawn across 2 fields on 1 frame, 1st field will do even numbers, 2nd will do odd numbers.

Also both t...

Followed the guide, no joy

Got it working myself before, just with issues in the cutsceens.

Only reason why its so fu(ked is because of Games for Windows Failed, without this mod would work instantly with no messing around.
Love Valve's approach on Steam, just a cut and paste in the mod folder.

Wait till Bulldozer, if its not delayed it should be out in September meaning the prices of AMDs current CPUs will come down and maybe Intel CPUs to.

That 500FPS screenshot was with minimum settings.

Anyway good to see these benchmarks, makes it a lot clearer.
With my RIG I'm possible looking between 65-80FPS on maximum quality settings 1920×1080 DirectX 11 depending on scaling of course.

People are forgetting the scale of ArmA

On CoD the maps are small.
On BF3 the maps are huge.
on ArmA the maps are insane.

You can have 64 players in a room, with 40 on the ground in tanks, FWDs, trucks and on foot. Others could be at sea several miles away. on top of that you could have Jets and C130s 1KM above the sky.
This all on the same server all in real time.

The maps are at least 1,000 times the size of BF:BC2 l...

Its a shame modders have to do Cryteks job.

They gimped the game for Consoles and look where its got them

Crysis = 3Mil+ units as of May 2010 (PC only)
Crysis Warhead = 1.5Mil+ units as of May 2010 (PC only)
Crysis 2 = around 3Mil units as of July 26 2011 (PC,PS3 & 360)

For deferred rending FXAA and MLAA is good, Nvidia is making noise about their SRAA.

MSAA and SSAA is the best but can be a performance hog, depends on the game, resolution and system spec.

For me I can run must games maxed out with 8xAA even 16xAA at 1920 by 1080 no issue.

Subpixel Reconstruction Anti Aliasing - SRAA

This FXAA does not work for x64 systems. Oh well wanted to try myself on GTA IV, that game needs AA bad buts its Deferred rendering.

Its all depends on the motherboards form factor.

Going for a ATX case would be your best bet, Most Mobos are ATX or mircoATX with rare ones being EATX

Allows check though, just use a search engine or forums but usually ATX cases support ATX, miniATX, mircoATX

Edit: Would recommend going for a Sandbridge second Gen i series CPU from Intel or go AMD.
Plus would recommend speeding more money in the GPU department HD 6670 wont really cut ...

Yep

i5 2500K best price/performance on the market.
i7 2600K is very good in fact great but not for its price.

Worst one on this list is Core i5-760, unless your stuck on LGA 1156 would not bother, clock for clock the 2500K has already destroyed it by 33% never mind the higher clock speeds.

Still though, read my other comment

Guys just take a minute to think this through, Battlefield is still 12 or so weeks away.

I would wait for AMD Bulldozer to come out before rushing into Core i3/i5 or Phenom II X4/X6.
Depending on their true performance, we could see a price drop on Intel CPUs never-mind the pricing on current AMD CPUs.

My next point is CPU cores, just because it says you need a Quad core it does not mean people will not be able to run at maximum without one.

Yeah Digital on Steam all the way.

I can pre-purchase a game on Steam, have it pre-loaded and get it almost 9hrs every time before there released in the stores.

Plus this thing about not having a tangible copy, I really don't get it.
If I get the disk version and install it,
If I get the Steam version and install it
Both install on the PC appear the same.

Its like your only bothered about the box-art or the trophy ...

MLAA is really bad, just blurs the image.

MSAA, FSAA, SSAA and soon SRAA all product better image quality with no jaggies, 16xAA with a crisp image.

EA is referring to Free to Play games, such as the ones that can be found easily on Steam or EA's Play4Free tittles.

They make the money back with, in game ads during loading screens, product placements within the maps but mainly its with micro-transactions such as in TF2 & BFH.

Crysis 2 failed because it went for the Call of Duty model

Crysis 3 better be like Crysis MP and Battlefield 3 MP
