LOL I'm terrible :)
Still its impressive for such a small game.
I prefer Crush the Castle and Fragger to Angry Bird.
Yeah do the math people
Angry Bird - 100m x 0.59p comes to £5.9m
GTA IV - 8m x £39.99 is around £320m
Games like Angry Bird are 1play through, 5min fun on the bus home
Not hardcore full blown multiplay through blockbusters like Zela or Metal Gear
Apples to Oranges
Me and my friend got the both got Portal 2.
Portal 2 - Two Pack = £47.98
Works out at £23.99 new (PC/Mac), PS3 version would be £39.99 new plus I would not play the PS3 version.
Also Getting the Steam version I know that 100% of the money is going to Valve, and not to EA, a game store and Sony.
What... What...
You get games for your Xbox 360 over a PC with that spec.
OMG, I would of sold the Xbox, it has nothing anyway.
I passed on Fable 3 so I could get it on PC.
Yeah Crysis not on maximum setting.
No specular lighting on Foliage
No ambient occlusion
No soft shadows
No light shafts
Custom settings medium-high.
Also sorry to say but HD 5670 is mid-range card I would say anything above HD 5830 would be not be classed as mid-range.
Fail0verflow's ass :)
Don't go there its gets really messy... :/
@ B1663r
Ray Tracing is not so much an issues these days.
I've only seen real-time ray tracing done on PC above 24fps. It was done with GTX 480 in SLi
Intel system is very inefficient though.
CPU is failing
GPU is winning
GPGPU is the future, Cuda 4.0 is another step in that direction and Kepler will be another.
Until quantum CPUs of course. Hey it may even be quantum GPUs LOL.
Whether its
PCWorld.co.uk or
PCWorld.com
There will allows be a fail in there somewhere.
Very good for Sony.
One thing is for sure though, no software ever written is 100% secure.
And why are the mentioning piracy, these people cracked PS3 for running Apps and experimentation (Jailbreak) not gaming.
These guys probably have kickass PCs, why would they want or need to play PS3 games.
@ kesense
Well there is over 20 Million PS3s that are on version 3.55 or earlier.
Also Sony has implemented...
LOL
says the guy that probably pays for a Peer2Peer Service
XBL is lag, PSN is not that much better. PC just fine.
This is another reason why I love PC, if you ping/ latency is two high, you get auto-kicked from the room.
This only works if the Admin sets it though.
Nope could get anything from 30 to 100 saves on 150MB but Valve offer more flexibility on Steam.
LOL you fanboys can't even read
LG owns the technology rights, and Sony are the ones that could be paying $350 Million not LG.
Also I'm 100% sure that LG make the LCD and LED panels for Sony TVs.
150MB for all games :/
On Steam you get 100MB per cloud game as far as I'm aware.
Plus you get 1GB in total for screenshots, so you can show how good you pwn :)
Oh guys forgot to mention, for those who want to upgrade.
I would wait till later in the year.
Nvidia is coming out with Kepler 28nm (GT 600 series) 3/4Q 2011
AMD is coming out with Southern Islands 28nm (HD 7000 series) 4Q 2011/ 1Q 2012
Kepler is meant to be 2-3 times GF100 Fermi
Southern Islands is unknown atm but should be similar
Problems with this, as TinyTomLogan has pointed out at Overclock3D.net
He has done HD 6990 and HD 6990 CrossFireX reviews.
Its got great performance but the cooling is bad.
Its gets to 90c per core unless the fan is ramped to full speed, but then it sounds like a jet fighter.
HD 6870 CFX is almost there
HD 6950 CFX seems to be faster atm
HD 6970 CFX seems to kill the HD 6990 are every point.
Drivers are terribl...
Yeah its just insane to compare, it was real-time only achievable on PC.
GTX 580 - 1581Gflop/s SP and roughly 515Gflops DP
GTX 580 Tri SLi - 4743Gflop/s SP and roughly 1545Gflops DP
PS3 - 218Gflops SP and roughly 75Gflops DP
360 - 115Gflops SP and guessing 57.6Gflops DP
All these are theoretical peak performance.
Scaling will not be perfect in the real world in SLi, although Nvidia claims on certain synthetic benchmarks result ...
Half are cut-scenes.
The rest corridor gun-play.
No screens of the huge vistas?
Not really taken anythnig from Vavle.
Judging by Sony Online Entertainment publishing it, we could see it on PC also no guarantees.
No developer do what Valve do.
Release AAA titles every year, or every other year.
Release patches for games over 10 years old.
Release community request changes to game over 10 years old.
Release game content for free on games almost 5 years old.
Release support content from community, even coming to 10 years.
Release SDK for community to make content.
Release other tools for community.
Support mods on Steam.
Ru...
Can't say 100% which is better.
Don't know why but shading, shadows and lighting is way worst on PS3, other than that the PS3 has it.
360 has really good shading, shadows and lighting but seems to fall sort in textures and aliasing.
PC of course will look next gen ready :)
