I think this should be seen on a case to case basis. Here is how i think it goes:

FPS: This is becoming very stagnant, with most games trying to be another COD, which really isnt working for them this year alone we had Crysis 2, Homefront and some other trying to be COD. This is just stagnating the genre not bringing anything new to the table. I think BF3 did something different, Personally i have gone back to playing TF2 i think its the most fun to play FPS game out there....

How is it the best of both worlds, buying 2 copies is a waste of money.

PS3 version is having frame rate issues. Xbox 360 version wont look any where close to the PC version niether will it support mods.

If you have a rig definetly get the PC version play it now, then play it again later when mods are out.

@Tanir

Lol maybe capcom decided to take it a notch further, you know release the same game in the same year again haha. I bet if more people would have bought it they would have been like:

"We are on the right track.. bump it to 3 releases a year, along with DLCs" which would have had Activition raising an eyebrow too :P

@PSX99

I personally dont see a difference between MW1 - MW3 its all just new maps.

Bought the game at launch for 36usd of D2D, i think it was a bargain specially considering the game even has replayability. I finished it once and i am going to give it a 2nd run, which would mean about 80hours of gameplay overall.

Well people keep rebuying COD, Capcom thought they'd get on the bandwagon lol.

So why isnt there a large jump between UC2 and UC3, just like there was between UC 1 and 2? They look about the same.

Its fine if the console is maxed out, people really only care about the games, they really dont need delude the people by saying stuff like "oh theres more". If there is more it probably isnt to make enough of a impact which is why the last game looks like the previous game, which isnt a bad thing because the previous game still looks very good.

Yes but why would anyone want to gimp their gameplay by using one of these. A gaming mouse is easily the superior gaming choice. Anyone using these will be at a disadvantage.

The only place i see this being sensible is to hook it up to my HTPC so i can use this is a mouse while in the couch, i wouldnt use it for game play though.

Gears 3, Kz 2 n 3, UC 2-3 dont run in 60fps, they are all limited to 30fps.

Nope, people should only play what they own.

However i am advocating that console gamers stand up for their rights and demand BC, or pretty soon they may find themselves having to buy remakes of remakes that they bought for their current consoles, imagine having to buy HD remake of God of war 1 - 3 again on PS4

Ill pretend u didnt write that.

While Sony makes some great exclusives and their games can push the hardware to the max yet even they are unable to produce a single fps in 1080p. I would take Sonys word with a grain of salt at best, as they are known to over hype then under deliver. Kutaragi made it look like Ps3 would be playing all its games in 1080p, in the end the results are no where close. In the Pc industry if some...

Its funny how people will disagree with facts, Shaman is right.

Infact most console games which are hyped for good graphics only run at 30fps.

Hell consoles dont have a single first person shooter that runs in 1080p. Now the reason why i say first person shooter is because its the most demanding genere out there.

Even Sony with its much hyped Cell is yet to achieve a single FPS game at 1080p 5 years into the consoles life, so much for ...

There currently are over 550 games released that support 3D, id say its very had to select just 5 games. I have personally seen the following in 3D and i thought they looked amazing:

Witcher 2, Assassins creed Brotherhood, Batman AA, Metro 2033.

Imo those are at the top of my list.

Here is a complete list of 3D games released on Nvidia hardware:

...

Well i been saying it all along, however console fans argue otherwise and mostly they are just being fanboish and trying to protech their platform of choice even though it may cost them.

I feel console gamers need to ask for true BC along with HD remakes. Personally as a PC gamer i can play games from the last 20 years. There are many ways to play old games, be it Dosbox, Virtualbox. Hell even older console games run on the PC without issue.

It would be a...

Same here got 150+ games on Steam however i refuse to buy any more Ubisoft games.

I dont think they have done anything new in recent years. Aside Assassinscreed which frankly is getting tired too. Ubi really has nothing left.

GTA on PC even though a bad port was still far superior to the console version.

The reason PC gamers whined about it is because they have high standards. What console gamers dont understand is, even when PC gamers are whining the version they are playing is still leagues ahead of the console version most of the time.

GTA 4 on consoles wasnt even HD, the PS3 version specially looked very blurry in the distance. On PC the best way to optimise the game was k...

Looks like people arent buying it because its locked at 30fps. I wonder if an FPS unlocker hack is out already. If it is the game might be worth buying.

I dont spend much on software. I mostly buy games day one between 30-50usd tops. Few months later most AAA games are selling for 20-40usd anyways. I think gaming is relatively cheap these days. Specially when you consider the pricing back in 90's, with inflation considered we are getting games at a bargain today.

I bought batman AC for 26usd.
BF3 was purchased for 37usd
Already have Assassinscreed preordered for 35usd.
Need for speed the run is cur...
