Well the modders mostly fix the bugs on the PC version. Just like they did for oblivion.
Problem is this is a large scale game with alot happening, hence we cant really blame Bethesda for the for the few bugs here and there, overall the game is amazing.
Its an amazing game and very well coded, runs great on my laptop nvm my desktop PC wonder whats up with the PS3.
Edit: wonder why the disagrees, it really does run great on my laptop, maybe not 60fps but its easily doing 40 fps atleast.
Next year they probably will have the COD Black Ops 2 DLC, MW4 DLC will follow later.
@Ezio
We know its easy to get on to the console hype train. But here are some facts for you:
Console maker Sony hypes 3D markets it everywhere yet only has maybe 25-30 games in 3D, PC has over 600 games in 3D ;-)
Both console makers hype HD this gen, yet hardly 5% of their games are in full HD. Again 3-4 year old PC hardware runs 95% of games in 1080p and beyond.
Console makers bring out motion controls, yet again mos...
Dam i love PC gaming. Might be worth it to finally get a kinect for the PC.
Edit: if voice commands could be linked to keys. That would be amazing for some games. Though i wonder if there is a software that can do this for any voice input device.
Well Sony didnt really listen to the developers when they were building the PS3. They just built the hardware then tossed it to the developers. It was an arrogant thing to do, and they probably did it because they reigned supreme in the PS2 era. It should be a lesson learned for any company not to ignore any aspect of the industry when making a new machine.
Now before PS3 fans start naming the PS3 exclusives that are done so well and start calling Bethesda lazy. I would beg...
Its funny how desperate console gamers are for a game to be exclusive to their platform.
The reason why they cant ramp the GHZ on the CPU are a bit too obvious.
They want to keep the system small, anything above 3GHZ might cause issues simular to RROD or YLOD. Nintendo doesnt want to take a risk with the heating issues. Its not easy dissapating all that heat in such small boxes.
Todays GPUs and CPUs run very hot, Which is a reason why todays gaming PCs come in large casings with very good airflor. Because consoles function in a much different...
And what happens if these expensive closed format memory cards are hacked?
It will just mean screwing over the legit gamer, while the pirates will be getting free games. Most likely they will get cracked, nothing is unhackable.
@dredgewalker
I normally run my cards at stock setup. My screen resolution is 5760*1080 (meaning surround gaming on 3 screens). GTX 580sli is enough to run most games at that resolution at max settings.
Meanwhile my Msiafterburner utility is hotkeyed for multiple settings. Setting 1 does stock speeeds with 25% fanspeed for silent operation. Setting 2 does stock speed with 50% fanspeed for normal game play. Setting 3 does 900MHZ speed with 85% fanspeed and...
Overclocking is relatively safe. I personally have GTX 580 in sli. The standard speed is 772 MHZ, i usually overclock mine to 900MHZ they run great and provide a decent performance boost.
Well dont prepurchase games, its that simple. Once they know we wont buy crap they will be getting over the release now patch later attitude.
Unfortunately Devs just dont test their games these days before release. Release now patch it later is the attitude.
Personally i am a PC gamer. I dont prepurchase games any more. I only buy them after launch once i know the game runs well, even though most of the time on the PC platform due to brute force most games run fine. However its really a shame devs are not testing a game before releasing it a console which is a fixed piece of hardware.
Poor console gamers, they obviously dont have access to mods because:
A: they are stuck with old hardware
B: How will MS and Sony make money of the DLCs if there are mods available for every game. Mind you this does have a spillover effect. When devs see console gamers are willing to pay for DLCs they tend to take away mod capability from PC games too, so they can milk both the community.
Bottomline console gamers need to grow a spine ...
I agree.
If you look at it from a broader perspective. PC already covers all the generes console fans like to talk about. However Consoles dont even begin to touch the generes PC can do:
MMO, RTS, Simulators are missing on consoles. Thats 3 whole generes consoles completely ignore.
Once you get used to Mouse/Keyboard even playing FPS on console feels like you are handicapped.
For the Sports games i urge you to check t...
Look at it from a individual system point of view not all consoles against a single PC.
This year i would say PC has had more exclusives then Xbox 360 or the Wii, almost having the same amount as the PS3. I would say thats a feat considering PC doesnt have any dedicated giant organization supporting it.
We had exclusives like:
Shogun 2, Red orchestra 2, Witcher 2, Hard reset, Dawn of war 2 retribution. BF3 on PC was like a exclusive sin...
@tanir
The mods are already rolling out(there is already a HD pack in the works you can see it on the front page it looks great, the stock textures look blurry in comparison), I personally havent bought Skyrim because i wanted to play the game with mods, i am sure the game may be on a Steam discount this Christmas, i may pick it up from steam at the time.
I would personally advice to trade this in for Uncharted, get the PC version on a discount.
This is awesome the older textures look so blurry in comparison.
I think this depends, if the game has long cut scenes its surely going to bore me, i would rather watch a movie instead.
Lol it goes a bit like this:
PC with Mouse Keyboard = Fast and furious gaming
Console with Controlpad= Lazy relaxed gaming
Its like taking a Kia to the track and hoping you stand a chance against some super car.
