Steam alone has 25million+ users add the rest of the DD services and PC might easily be above 40million DD only. Add in the retail which for PC is only 20% but still exists.
IMO PC is the Platform of the future. Imagine 3 years from now. When a new generation of consoles starts from 0. Steam might already be nearing 100million.

yep we do. Fact they are making losses even software sales considered is alarming.
We know Microsoft is in it to mess up Sony. If thats their goal then they have been very successful so far.
Sony now deep in the red with 5billion usd + in losses.
Sony as a company announced 450million usd as losses for the last year. This can be thanked to the losses by the gaming division which stand at a hefty 850million usd ...

The most money making game out there is on the PC. World Of Warcraft with around 11million Subs.
Thats about a billion in yearly revenue.
WOW alone makes more profit then Sony and Microsofts gaming division combined... since both of them are in losses lol.
Like Sid4gamerfreak said devs just need to work on it to get money on the PC. It just doesnt work like on consoles where any rehashed stuff will sell.
They already made so many losses on the Xbox project overall.
I dont think they will be in the mood to sell another piece of hardware at a loss.
Even decent Webcam will cost you 100usd. This ones got motion sensing.
Considering the research money, advertisement, losses incurred so far and the prices of other microsoft accessories i would say 150usd - 200usd is pretty safe bet.

I find it funny when a US product makes it to Japan, the Japanese tend to completely downplay it.
However when a Jap product arrives in the US, people are broadminded to give it a fair chanace.
Dont expect them to launch the next console on the same business plan. PS4 probably will be break even or profitable from launch.
Considering they are about 5Billion USD in losses on the PS3, they definetly should start charging for online.
However knowing Sony, they probably will add some better features before doing so. They just dont go milking around like Microsoft does.
I do fear though that if Sony cannot recover these losses within the next 3-4years,releasing another console and suffering losses on it might not be an option.

Both Sony and Microsoft are about 5Billion USD in the red. I am sure their shareholders wont be amused if these losses cant be recovered by the time next consoles are due for launch. Also its not just about recovering losses its about posting profits, shareholders dont invest money just so it can be recovered by the end of the generatio with no profits to show.

Those are profits for sony as a whole. Doesnt change the fact that Sony games division is expected to post a loss on this thursday.

Add those up to 4.7billion usd and about 5.2billion is what you end up with.
Dam people actually disagreeing on the fact that Sony does need to turn this around.
Financial reports from Sony will be out on Thursday. They are expected to post a loss. I dont see what shareholder will be happy about it.
Overall this console gen has been hard on Sony and Microsoft with each of them being around 5billion usd in losses.
Been using Motionjoy for a longtime, its great. Playing multiplats on my HDTV via PC with a DS3 feel like playing on a super overpowered PS3. In fact i am thinking of getting a HTPC for my bedroom, hooking that up with a DS3.
Maybe have a 5770 GPU on the HTPC, should be great for 1080p gaming.
I would prefer my the RTS genre not get gimped due to consoles. This is happening to every other genre, where games are consolized and made so the masses can easily play them. This movement completely removes any complexity within the game. Please leave the RTS genre alone.
No point crying over it, just dont support them. I know i havent purchased MW2.
They could implement the Keyboard and Mouse. However do realise having the Control pad at the same time would be very difficult.
Since Keyboard allows for so many controls to be present at one time (hot keys etc). Getting the exact experience on the control pad would be impossible.
its called emulation and its on the PC. all the consoles upto the Wii, in cluding the arcade.
All of it runs on the best controller out there the DS3.
