I currently have about 80games on steam an advantage i see building up being an X console user, that my games are here to stay.
Unlike previously where every generation i had my entire library of games reset because the next console wont play my old games.. or if i switched from nintendo to sony my old games are a complete waste.
I find digital distribution awesome on the PC, I know my games are here to stay and my investmen...
Dont forget to buy Move, Sony needs support lol.

I am sure you would be singing a different tune had the PS3 supported so many games in a simular way.
I dont see any of you Sony fanboys complaining about the gimped 3D that will be present with the PS3. It will either be going sub HD or there will be a graphics hit maybe could even a be a fps hit. There always will be a compromise but you fanboys will always accept it cause Sony says its great so it must be.
Dam thats a huge list of 3D ready games on PC. Wonder why people are even getting hyped over the consoles getting 3D. I mean PC already has 200+ of games judging by that list which are 3D ready.
Also the fact that on PC it can run in true 1080 High FPS and all that can be had at a much cheaper cost then consoles.
Yea you could hook a console up with a 3D monitor but the Jaggies would be terrible.

Devs like to develop for all platforms. Development costs are high this gen hence developing for all 3 platforms means less risk for them.
If they made games with only DX11 in mind then consoles will be left out. So yes in a way consoles are holding advances in graphics back
Watch as the next COD game looks exactly like mw1, there wont be any progress. Samething with console exclusives dont expect much jumps in graphics then what we have already seen.

Micrsoft is yet to post a decent profit, Their previous losses are stll outstanding.
Overall console gaming sales have dropped year on year. 2010 is doing worse then 2009.

First assumptions about affordability wont get you anywhere. If anything i have a better setup then most ppl here.
My point was why spend so much on a 3D tv then hook a console to it which will do barely 720p in 3D, its a waste of money and unnecessary.
For half the price i could be running 3D in 1080. instead of a lame sub 720p with 30fps or below.
Lol i could make a high end PC for half the price of a 3D tv. and it would really run all games in 3d at 60fps and in 1080p.

Sony is in a bad situation at the moment with the whole PS3 project. For the financial year 2009 they announced a loss of USD850 million.
Which would put their overall losses in the gaming division over 5billion USD. They are almost into the 4th year with the PS3 and no profits yet.
They were in profits in the 2nd year with the PS2. PS4 should launch in 2-3years, which will mean further losses.
I dont see how their share holders will approve ...

not true.. 75usd 8800gtx gpu will play any game better then consoles, that gpu still runs any game asides crysis in 1080p.
200usd is for a mid-hi range gpu.

Steam is growing fast. So is the rest of the DD network if steam is 25million today rest of the DD must be 15million atleast. Which puts overall DD at 40million atleast.
Current gen consoles will not last forever. Natal and Move are gimmicks at best.
We should be seeing next gen consoles by 2014 max. When those do come out consoles will see a restart in base. While Steam and the rest of the DD network would have grown beyond the 100million mark. Watch the fir...
