ahh i can't count how many pc guys try to weigh in with their superiority. im sure its great, but most console gamers don't care. if they did, they'd buy pc's.

theres wisdom in your logic there, but the thing is - people like me enjoy playing video games, dare i say even enthusiastic about it. we don't get so into it though that we are willing to spend thousands just to play games on occasion after work or free time on the weekend. That doesn't mean we don't want them to look as great as possible though - especially with all the hype.

i agree. i've wondered why that has never been a thing on consoles. maybe infamous and killzone offering frame cap locks will be the start of something that expands into more settings down the road. one can hope.
for a title like this, i'd take higher quality over faster frames. thats definitely one thing thats great about pc's. you get to choose how you want it to run.
yes and no. i'd like to think that the reason they made this an option is because consumer feedback probably pointed to high costs without a perceived value to that cost. in other words, market research might prove that people would rather pay less to forego Kinect, seeing no substantial gain in experience. I don't know why they'd do it for any other reason.
personally i like the kinect... moreso as an input device for watching tv/movies etc. its nice to not ...
dang if this is true (which who knows), ms is going to win e3 (at least for me). gears of war, halo 5, sunset overdrive? all are going to be fantastic. ps4 list looks a little anemic. wheres the project morpheus demo? uncharted 4 would be nice to see at least.

im sorry but you sound like an idiot. these new consoles are rendering so much more information than the last generation of consoles. and theres a big difference between a small difference in perceived aliasing to 16 bit sprites from the 90s. even if an xbox one game is rendering 720p (1280x720) its still doing far more calculations than what the 360 could do. sims are more accurate, textures are higher rez, ai has more power. well... it would have been glorious but 30 fps seems more realistic. i'm ok with it. still wondering what the x1 specs will be. TombRaider 1080p/30 fps on x1 so maybe this will be as well.. something tells me this game is a bit more taxing on the machines though so maybe not. i'll probably end up with the ps4 version i assume.
