Haha everybody seems to really be into this game except for the diehard ps4 fanboys who seem to find negativity in anything not on ps4. Don't be so close minded, guys. You'll miss out on a lot of good stuff in the long run. I opened up and got a ps4 and I really enjoy it - I still have the x1 too so I get the best from both sides.... And believe me, there are some great titles on both sides.
Infamous had a short run at the top it seems.
Personally I think both games were underrated
ahh.. just.... badass... this game went from 0 to hero in one day for me.
bioshock and mass effect weren't nearly as important to ms as titanfall.
and for as shitty as ps4 fanboys seem to think titanfall is, its STILL outselling inFamous by a lot... on a console selling less than the ps4.
i could see titanfall being released multi platform for sure, especially with the popularity of the ps4 but not until a sequel comes around. MS paid waaaay too much money to have this exclusive and you can bet for the money they made sure it would hold for a point in time.
that said - I can tell you right now that i would be really surprised if the ps4 version ran at 1080p/60 fps. Maybe a sequel would be built differently to make that possible, i dunno but not in its curre...
I'm pretty excited for this after seeing the screens. Gonna be another great x1 exclusive for sure.
40k is pretty good when you figure how many characters will be running on screen at once. Delsin had more on the ps4 but it never got totally nuts at any one time and a lot of the dup soldiers were more scaled down more than delsin. Also there were different models of delsin depending on the situation (cutscenes vs game etc). My company did the e3 trailer for it last year and we did it with the game engine (mostly) so we had all of the game assets.
Regardless, this game lo...
Damn. I went from having 0 interest to being excited for this game. Looks like it's going to be a blast.
i disagree. personally without the price of the kinect, i feel the xbox is the better value assuming it would be on par price wise with the ps4. even without the kinect it just has more functionality/apps/ content. ps4 has more 1080p/60 fps cross platform titles, but thats such a small detail in the grand scheme, that will get more diluted over time and the x1 (yes this is completely subjective i realize) still just has better games regardless of rez. I played infamous in all its beautifu...
thats a good point. so much so that my first instinct was to view the kinect as a navigational tool than a game controller... and thats not really necessary if you don't want it.
its a tough one. personally i like the functionality of the kinect, especially with all the voice/gesture commands over volume/channel/guide/video control. that said, I don't think its completely necessary if you don't want to pay for it. a harmony remote works just as well if you don't want to use the controller or didn't have kinect.
man. i really love that game.
its not locked. it fluctuates. it mostly runs at 60 fps. its also not running a crazy sim engine behind the graphics so kind of a weird comparison.
what are you trying to say? dx12 has nothing to do with this game. they ran a demo of forza5 being ported to dx12 for its reveal, but that wasn't to showcase graphical improvement. it was to demonstrate how easy it would be to port titles built on dx11 to dx12. F5 runs at 1080p/60fps with a really decent simulation so as far as i'm concerned, until project cars hits consoles and is amazing, forza is one of the best console based racing sim available.
haha i see what you did there. ;)
i hope they support fanatec at the very least since they make fantastic wheels (and i have one), but my concern is more the physics. if its not a proper sim'd game i care a bit less about using a wheel, period. in fact, i tend to feel like arcade racers or watered down physics tend to be less engaging with the wheel because it just doesn't feel nearly as correct and that kinda takes me out of the illusion a bit. gran turismo and forza are great at this as far as consoles go.
agreed. im still concerned about the physics. arcade-ish physics take the balls out of using a wheel in my opinion.
hopefully this will be different. i think I'm kinda starting to put my hope of a proper ps4 racer into project cars at this point though. after learning more about DC im starting to feel like its going to end up being a shinier, better connected version of grid. fun, but doesn't satisfy that sim itch.
i hope this game is as awesome as it looks. could be yet another must have exclusive for the ol' x1.
For all the hype and dazzle it should still be number one. Titanfall came out before infamous and it's the number one selling game out of both consoles so yeah.... It seems short lived to me as a must have exclusive or "system seller"
