To those who thought Sony was truly doomed, I say you people are a bunch of silly neanderthals. To even think that a company with a legacy as Sony's would let an iconic gaming console go the way of the dodo is beyond me. Every company slips up once and a while but it's not the measure to how far they slip but how far they come back from the fall. Sony has done a great job of recovering from a few blunders and is now poised to take over the spot MS stole with the silly and detrimental year hea...
The PSN offers to me what the PC does in way of gaming online and it also is free as is the PC. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why folks pay to play online when the PSN lets you do it for free. I was given a couple years worth of Live for free and saw that it offers a few extras, of which I never used like cross game chat and cross game invites but there was nothing there that I felt deserved payment for. The PSN is free, I can chat with my friends, send invites and play online... Wh...
Those that get the importance of games like Heavy Rain and those that do not. This one is clearly a review person who does not get it. And it shows in their sophomoric writing and lazy grammar.
The only way to then save grace or even be competitive would have been for MS to include the HD-DVD drive and go with the larger format. Prices would have been similar but it is common knowledge that the PS3 was crucial to Blu-Ray success. If MS would have put more of a hand forward with HD-DVD, it could have potentially beaten BD and helped the Xbox 360 win over all.
MS went the cheap route and we all paid for it. After several bricked consoles, I have seen just what lengths M...
Knowing that they have managed to in a single day bash two games for the Sony PS3. Their heads will sleep easy on their huge pillows tonight as they marvel in their love of their fanboy trends.
Articles like this are simply showing the fear of great PS3 games that is currently worn ont he sleaves of weak and prepubescent Xbox fanboys. Sad that they cannot just enjoy the games.
Now looking at the full game library of the 360, there are far more games that would in fact make it worth buying a 360 if you like the games included.
Sorry, I guess I didn't get the memo but when did this generation end? Do you typically call the horse race before the end of the first turn?
All I can imagine is an "Eye Pet" style game that replaces the pet with Milo. Sorry, but Milo was just a tech demo from my perspective so it will be tough to imagine him in anything along the likes of a full retail title.
Then why is it that they have shot themselves in the foot by making the game for the Wii? Do they have plans to port it to the Xbox 360 when Natal is released? Port it to Sony when the Arc is released? I think the game looks great but it is on the Wii and typically games like this do not sell.
So you would say that the profit Sony has made from Home that have admittedly overlapped the cost of Home is pure failure? It may in fact be a disappointment to you, but that is more than likely due to you being more hardcore and less casual. Did you no read my post early on? Millions of users visit Home. They are a majority of casuals, not all but a majority. It is not a failure if it makes money, it can be a disappointment to you but not to everybody and that sir, is not a fanboy thing to a...
I have to and will admit that it is a venue that makes Sony money and there are millions of users in Home to this day. It may be a beta but it is a huge beta and is actually very popular. It is Sony's current answer for the casual online socialites.
Or are you saying you will never play Heavy Rain or FFXIII? Just asking...
Agree? Disagree? So what is it? Not sure how you can agree or disagree with a personal question simply trying to clarify your post...
This article seems to fall inline with an April fools joke. I will have to remain skeptical for the time being.
It has been nearly a year since then and they are still showing the tech demo from E3? I am sure that they have made vast improvements already and from what I have read they have a fully completed prototype in their hands today. Why not show these journalists the recent build instead of an old version? Has there been no improvement since E3? If so then I would be a bit worried...
It was even better when the patched the controls. In the end, Lair was and is still to this day one of the best looking titles out on the market. If you have not played it, I suggest trying it before reading the reviews that knocked it. They never once said anything bad about the story or the graphics, only the controls and they have been patched.
As for Sony dropping the ball, every company has done this. Heck, MS sold millions of faulty consoles knowingly and yet they are st...
With Uncharted 2 and Gog Of War III being the best looking games ever on any console, you can only imagine what could have been done with a touch more RAM. Good move Sony!
“From Sony's perspective, rather than go out and do a whole PR barrage to give everybody the 'happy, happy, joy, joy' news, we're going to show up and have a line-up of products to show people rather than having a lot of great statements to say, 'This is what's going to happen'. "
I love this statement. It flows with the whole walk softly and carry a big stick comment. Great stuff Sony. Hate it or not, it is a good conept. Rather than show up with a bunch of PR comments, j...
It's just not possible to tell what a game will look like from an internet video, stream or not. It's just silly. Play the game for whatever console you have and if you have both then get the one you prefer to play on most.
Disagree if you are a flaming Xbox fanboy.
Agree if you love games.
Starting with Destructoids very own idiot fanboy, Jim Sterling.
