True but that was a few fanboys making the most noise. Now we see how the PS3 version is superior all the while the 360 version comes on 3 discs and still looks worse than the PS3 version. In the end, the proof is in the eating of the pudding.
70% of the people that buy this game will be playing the superior version. I know that there are superior multiplatform games on the 360 but this time the shoe is on the other foot as it were.

Here's a fun fact for gun haters. It is illegal to own a gun in the city of Chicago. But Chicago is one of the cities that suffers from the most gun related crimes... Take guns away from those that would use them legally and you suffer at the hand of those that use them illegally.

More people fall victim to knife attacks each year than gun attacks. More people die from drunk drivers using their vehicles as weapons than those that die from actual gun shot wounds. The issue here is an idiot father leaving a loaded gun around for a child to get their hands on. I used the Logitech wireless ones. They were awesome too. For the Gamecube I used the Wavebird. I have not used wired controllers for years and will never go back.
And would love to see some more from the game. I would be happy with more levels and more goodies. The game is near perfection IMHO so just adding more content other than just costumes would be awesome.
The ammo is held in a completely different place and is also locked up. If you have children and you leave your gun unattended to, you are an idiot and should be sent to jail. Even my home defense gun is in a safe next to the bed and is only unlocked by a five digit code. You need to play it safe when dealing with firearms. If you don't, you have only yourself to blame.
I thought they passed up on the Live beta because they already understood the code and thought it was unnecessary for them to waste the time and resources putting a beta out there.

SOCOM is a great franchise with the exception of Confrontation. Though Confrontation is not a horrible game, it is not what SOCOM is at the heart of the franchise. There is a huge loyal fanbase for SOCOM, especially for Zipper Interactive and I am going to guess that this SOCOM will be played for years, and years, and years. Would I have preferred another sequel to another game? Sure, but this is going to be epic amongst its fans and should not be so easily dismissed.
And gets away with fanbased loyalty for years and they get a pass. Yet, Sony has a 24 hour period of downtime and the media is ablaze with hate. Wow, those conspiracy theories are starting to look pretty legit now.

I will take hardware capable of rendering 720p contend natively over hardware that cannot handle this game in 720p yet upscales to 1080p. 720p native will trump upscaled 576p any day of the week.
The real issue is that the PS3 has yet another AAA title under its belt and continues to prove all the naysayers wrong. Gabe Newell and the idiots that claimed Sony should take the PS3 back to the drawing board are eating their words along with a healthy plate of crow right about now.
