For a 'launch' title HS1 didn't exactly get bad sales. In fact it is the best selling Ninja Theory game ever. Even with 360/PS3 sales combined for their other games.
They just expected more than the estimated 1.6 million copies sold for Heavenly Sword. But that was instead their apex.
As for Ninja Theory's skill. They are excellent game makers, their marketing not so much. They have just never had that massive commercial success they strive fo...
Really like it, just a shame its so expensive :(
Really loving the multiplayer at the moment. Going to be interesting to see this new Interrogation mode and how it plays. If everything requires shivs that means stealth and smoke bombs galore I'm guessing.
Same here! Plenty of Chinese language ones but trying to find that Hong Kong english one... has to be the rarest officially released (non recalled) game on PS3? :/
Expected. It is a PC oriented game after all. The cross platform engine they use will be doing most of the actual porting process. Entirely different than building a game ground up for a specific console.
Game hasn't been optimized yet. Anyone whom has been in a Battlefield beta knows how much of a system hog unoptimized code can be. And when they optimize it the system requirements lower by a lot.
The one major thing im hoping for is the return of hardcore RTS and point n click adventure games. The solution is now there, so there is no reason why we cant see a port of all those games which have historically been PC only.
Yakuza 5!!!
I can dream can't I? :)
I didn't take it as mocking. I took it as this is what we really think now lets cover it up with jokey laughter so we aren't taken as deadly serious :)
Cant trust PR people. History is littered with 'were not working on such and such a title' or 'this is only coming to this platform'. Then it all reverses when they want to hype up the game for a new platform etc.
All smoke and mirrors, after all they are paid to get you to focus on their game right now. They don't want you holding off not buying it in case of a future PS4 or PC version. They want you to buy this one. Never believe PR. Rule #1
This game is gonna be awesome! :D
Wow! Quite a list so far;
"Here are the titles that will make a (yet unspecified) appearance in the game.
Gravity Rush
Soul Sacrifice
Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles
Grandia
Emil Chronicle Online
Ragnarok Online
Keri Princess Suites
Puzzle & Dragons
Sengoku Tenkatrigger
Crazy Tower
Dokuro
...
Such an amazing series. And honestly with the better/cheaper tech they have now wouldn't cost half as much to make. I just think it would be hard to sell it to the non-Shenmue audience. Those of us from that era and have played through those games seem to be few and far between. Which is sad :/
Of course there is a game for it. It's just that you aren't the one playing it. Instead the actual game is being played by a Government Agency somewhere. Called Spycraft.
thats what the whole bid for greatness is meant to be. Using your trophies as currency to bid on items.
Like others said. Us Sly fans loved it!
You game on a PS3 and soon to be PS4 for diversity. Knowing every genre of gaming will be supported and provided for you. That is the strongest part of Sony and they are the only platform where anything 'new' happens. New genre defining games, new ideas etc all seem to harvest on Sony platforms. It is where the gaming medium is at right now.
