I'll refute it - you're just being redundant at this point. Microsoft will sell their games on PC and console and people inclined to choose either of them will choose either of them and likely won't consult caddytrek.
Refuted.
To your question to phoenix:
It's because people are out there buying 4K TV sets, and 4K is the hot thing - not 60 frames per second.
To a more-than-casual gamer those priorities may be flipped, but we've been largely been on a resolution kick since basically DVD Video.
People went out and bought a beautiful new 4K TV, and they want to see their games and all the media they can in 4K - that's all. It's just what the mar...
The gameplay is pretty fun, and gameplay is at the core of any good game.
I like what they've done with the combat, and I've had nothing less than a ball with the last two entries. Also, as a big history guy I love seeing these interpretations. The temples in Odyssey were fantastic, and Athens was so well done. They nailed the acropolis and the all temples on and around it.
They have more creative license with the viking theme, and that's coo...
I know exactly what you mean; some games aren't satisfying unless you're playing them, and short teasers and snippets may not do them justice. You have to play to know.
I'm glad to hear this about the combat though, because that sounds like it adds a lot of depth to a very familiar formula. The combat has to be the real star.
Higher than 30 is a bonus to me. That's it - a bonus and nothing more. You could argue certain games demand it and I wouldn't disagree, but does every game absolutely demand 60? I don't believe so. Not one bit. I do think more options would be nice however and I'm not against that at all.
What's more exciting to me is game design, which will probably remain mostly the same, but I'm hoping for those breakthroughs. Also, when did Ubisoft confirm that S...
Nobody could possibly "believe" what you just said because it's simple and simply nonsense.
I'm ready to hack everybody to bits, lol.
It's like nobody remembers that launch. Sony didn't just 'have' indies back then, they had an intense interest in cultivating relationships with indie developers and getting their platform out to them. They even had some sort of heart logo dedicated to indies and their devs. So indies were and still are, big for them.
Flower, a PS3 port - that game was even touted - and they were subsequently (and rightfully) taken to the ridicule grinder. Sound Shapes, Reso...
That's all gen long around here.
Welcome.
Now that makes it really interesting. Glad to hear these specific details about the combat because it sounds great; sounds like it has real depth and it sounds fun.
@sushi
Take a break.
Your tone is way too aggressive about something so trivial.
I really want to see more of Hellblade 2. I really enjoyed the game and got 100% completion on PS4 and Xbox.
Hopefully they show some gameplay soon - don't care what build it is - I'm ready to see.
People pay with currency for things that will grant them personal enjoyment.
Strange, right?
Your comments are putting everyone's eyes out lately, and this one is just, well, pointless.
Personally, I know the game is going to be great in terms of mostly everything. Even if there's a little cringe of a particular sort, that's not going to ruin the game for me as a whole.
Even if I knew what was going down after reading spoilers I'd still very much looking forward to 'playing the game' - emphasis on that last bit.
This makes me happy as of now, because I've gotten pure enjoyment from their games, and they've left quite the impression. Hopefully this keeps up.
Congrats to CDPR.
It isn't you, it's just the game isn't all that great. I could easily see putting it down and not being excited enough to get back in.
Also, to anyone reading, when I said like God of War I didn't mean to the letter; I wasn't suggesting we do a single over-the-shoulder camera shot of Lara and all the rest of it. But God of War has now become synonymous with solid re-invention for me, so I use it as an example because it was so well done.
Interesting read, and it got me more hyped.
I love when interviews have that effect.
Why not both?
@neutral
"if Ms wasn't charging for xblive and getting away with it Sony wouldn't have"
I think it was safe to assume that both corporations would eventually start charging for online services (and what do you know?) So, the fact that Microsoft went first because, you know, business, is being argued, ridiculously, by the both of you (not Echo) in a very poor, vain 'Microsoft bad' type effort to make them look... bad. Then you'...
