It's trying to capture the charm of film and it looks like it does a great job. You don't have to play it that way. I'll probably check it out only briefly but it is a cool addition.

That wasn't necessary, dude.

These kinds of games definitely have replay value if you enjoy the gameplay, characters, story and world. Trophies can be another reason to warrant a second playthrough for some as well.

Me, I'll play it on normal first, then up the difficulty for my 2nd run for the hard trophy. Sucker Punch usually has difficulty-based trophies so I expect that here too.

I may be more interested in the Slipspace Engine than I am in the game itself, though I'm definitely curious about the game.

I'm always interested in new and different tools.

Not in the damn vicinity at all.

Horizon Zero Dawn was an infinitely better product and overall game than Days Gone.

If they were 'immediately' patched, as a day one player, I wouldn't have had all the game breaking issues I had.

Speech/audio was completed F'd for the 'duration' (lasted over a week) of my playthrough. Tons of bugs and glitches, like blue investigation circles popping up for no reason, bunkers to climb down that were filled in with dirt, bikes floating in the sky rendered non-retrievable, Deacon repeating a single line in one mission for the duratio...

And you were born in '84?

Jesus.

I does look Assassin's Creed-like with the air assassination mechanics and in other aspects, for sure, but it still looks great and looks much like its own game.

I'm wowing at the soundtrack as well.

Fantastic.

I agree.

Have had it preordered forever.

Can't wait to tear into this.

@Voice

Yes, I'm getting an Xbox Series X, and I'm tired of fanboys spewing nonsense like "You're not PS gamer!" or "You've never even owned an Xbox!" based on a comment that isn't pro whatever or whomever they're aligned with in that moment. That's a seriously dumb thing to charge someone with, no matter their history, and I'd wager that most of the people that regularly post here own or have owned machines from both brand...

@Veneno

No doubt that Shuhei Yoshida is a class act and a nice guy, but you have to remember the age difference between the two men and the cultures that have influenced them throughout their lives. Shu is quiet and subdued, and completely different from Greenberg in terms of personality and how outgoing he is.

Now, I'm not excusing Greenberg at all; I think he's a complete tool and total hype dork, but comparing him with the subdued and grandpa-l...

Greenberg is so damned irritating.

Usually I just brush this stuff aside but this is the second act of cringe in a week by this guy, and all they're doing at this point is saying "We can do it too" instead of doing what they should do, and actually showing people next-gen gameplay on their new machine.

It's as simple as that - SHOW US. Just show us. Jesus.

Lol. That's exactly what this is.

This is where we are today.

2237d ago 10 agree0 disagreeView comment

I don't see that at this juncture. I think these articles are silly anyway, but from where I'm standing PlayStation is getting more attention and more positive attention, and the more attention Sony get, the less people focus on Xbox Series X.

Hopefully Microsoft show some juicy stuff that we actually want to see soon, or they're just going to fall even further behind once Ghost of Tsushima gameplay is shown.

I wouldn't know. I don't remember the last time I had to deal with Sony. Must've been ages ago. All I get from Sony are Dear Mr letters every time I make a digital purchase.

Honestly, (and I'm in no way defending Sony) most customer service is bad. Also, I just read your comment below as I was replying and that would be truly infuriating.

All my TVs are Samsung and they've always done well by me so I've never stopped buying from th...

More of a company focus and less of a PlayStation focus, but that's fine. Not too bad as far as commercials go.

Xbox's 'showing' didn't dull anything for me, but it didn't really impress me. I'm interested in some of the reveals from the show, but this demo was absolutely the breath of specificity we all wanted, which was gameplay footage taken directly from a next-gen console. But not just any gameplay - gameplay that highlighted what PS5 will be capable of.

Epic gave us what we wanted, along with Mark and everyone else who designed PS5.

When I look at his comments, then yours, it's abundantly clear who's licking the walls of the salt mine, and it isn't WarCouncil, the reviewer.

He's a friendly, personable and good-hearted reviewer, while you're an overly defensive and aggressive fanboy.

Also, what level and dungeon design? This game is monotonous linearity galore, where you run through uninspired narrow passageways a very good (yet always bad) portion of the time.

They've taken every cliche from gaming and crammed it into this thing too. I didn't know Final Fantasy was about the obligatory 'drain the water to access an area' nonsense, but now it is! But, we all know that isn't Final Fantasy. Want to modernize? Great, but keep this BS ou...
