@S2Killinit
S2Killinit: Quick, let's try to discredit the entire piece and the developer because he's making a game for Xbox Series X, and he's talking about the upgraded CPU more keenly affecting his work than any other component.
Images 2, 3, and 7 really blew my skirt up.
I'll likely never play this but some of these images are very impressive.
That's fine, I can respect that, but it's not as if I'm devoid of reason and just trashing it flatly and thoughtlessly, nor am I attacking those who disagree. I didn't come to the comments and say "Game sucks" and leave.
I explained why I feel as I do.
You're not dumb to enjoy what you enjoy and I don't believe that even though you 100% disagree with me.
What I feared would happen is happening. Passion is giving way to monetization through piecemeal, and the impact of the name Final Fantasy is decreasing, and now, when I hear it spoken, it reminds me of something cheap instead of something sterling and grand.
The games are getting worse and worse, and the remake of one of my favorite games of all time is a dark, empty husk with only a few bright spots.
I can appreciate the character renditions; I think ma...
I agree that it's solid as far as execution is concerned. I didn't witness any bugs or glitches personally during my playthrough, but textures are part of polish for me, and it felt a little incomplete in regards to those.
I 'am' glad that they stayed faithful with the music, and hearing some of those tracks again for the first time since 1997 made me perk up and nod my head in approval.
But yeah, it's refreshing to see a human reply t...
They're both very, very dull.
I literally forced myself to see the "Remake" through to the end.
"Just finish it, just finish it", I told myself as I chugged along boring corridors and trails, squeezing through cracks, climbing up and down countless ladders, and wading through the molasses of cheap filler injected all throughout the bloated disaster that is "FFVII Remake."
Every stupid mundane game cliche that could possibly be adopted and thrown in was a...
I'm glad they didn't have a flying mount in HZD, though I can see how it would have been entertaining, especially if the mounts were machine enemies you could control, with different enemies having different attributes and handling properties.
I'm kind of glad they didn't though, as that would have partially negated the excellent bow and staff combat that were at the heart of the game.
"You take a look at the CPU and GPU specs and there's nothing special about them."
Oh come on.
Just because they're the least custom aspects of the consoles, and the most standard, doesn't mean they're not special in that they're not vast improvements over current gen.
If that were the case, we wouldn't have been asking for better CPUs all gen, and developers wouldn't have pointed them out as bottle...
The "sour grapes" are coming from you, and though you're both disingenuously lumping, I have to agree with Kabaneri in the sense that nothing else seems to, or can be, important. Just the SSD, or the Tempest Engine, or anything that praises PS5 and nothing else.
You're totally "sour grapes" over a developer playing up the great new CPUs that we've been clamoring for, FOR A GENERATION. Lol.
The real victimhood is actually co...
I wonder how the tone of the reactive comments would be if this game were being developed for PS5.
CPUs are important too - very much so, and it's the opinion of this particular developer that CPU is the biggest factor. That's their opinion as of this moment.
No problem, right? Well, it is if you're a Sony fanboy and want the 'only' narrative out there to be 'All that matters is the SSD' because that's the area where Sony ...
Ever played a game where you thought you had to tweak its brightness or gamma (or even more drastically TV settings) to see well? Having to do that stinks, and it affects the entire image, and not just the dark or crushed areas.
Well, I've played many of those, and very much appreciate ray tracing and more correct and accurate lighting.
It's all a game changer, really, but in my personal opinion it's the CPUs and SSDs. Developers and gamers have been clamoring for better CPUs since the start of the generation.
They're both very important.
CPU power is huge.
We didn't even need a developer to speak up to know that this is the case, so why behave as if the developer is full of it?
Right now their hype train is very much on track.
They'll be fine, unless they do something catastrophic, which I doubt they will.
No, that's pretty much on the money.
Andrew Goossen is the system architect for Series X. I don't know who the lead is, but their top two guys seem to be the one I mentioned above and a Nick Baker.
I'm ready.
Just Forbes doing some fishing is what it looks like. This article has no reason to exist whatsoever. Let Sony and Epic partner up.
Who would this bother but a fanboy?
I love em too.
I've liked everything I've played by them.
