They both go their own ways. Joining forces may have worked out, but it may have also lead to a confused, strained leadership.
Both companies knew what they wanted to be; they knew they were different so they didn't get together. For the best I'm sure. PlayStation was PlayStation and Nintendo was Nintendo.
My god, dude. I can see gushing over a game but you're taking corporate stroking to odd heights here. Nintendo get nightmares? Wow.
I'm a PlayStation fan too but this is ridiculous and silly.
Yeah man - may as well play it too to get ready for Part II. Best way to prep; you'll go into Part 2 more than ready, and there's a trophy to claim in doing so.
Grounded and Grounded+
Proud owner of both in The Last of Us.
Hit options and delete.
Like most of its kind, it's lazy and predatory as fuck.
Looking forward to both, but I think The Last of Us Part II is taking that crown.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is in there.
Instant title nullification.
That's great to hear, and it's especially satisfying knowing that Activision once had Spider-Man all... webbed up -
but no longer. Sony and Insomniac it is!
Playing Spider-Man Game of The Year Edition currently.
Great game. Keep it with Insomniac and PlayStation.
Yeah, it took a moment to find its footing. PlayStation gamers had things to sustain them, though, such as the multiplats you mentioned. I don't think it was that bad. We also know that PlayStation's momentum picked up after a time and never ceased.
How am I settling for less? I have all the consoles I want (and not to be arrogant) and all the money to buy them. I've enjoyed the gen from start to finish.
I've missed out on nothing. :)
@XtaZ So you purchased a PS4 for Deep Down. That's fair.
Deep down, though, (lol) is its absence so keenly felt, what with PlayStation delivering great games in spades this generation? Could nothing else offset that pain? PlayStation's going out with a bang too - much like the finale of a fireworks display. They always find a way to end on a high note.
One of the most exciting things about this game is the new AI - looks great. Let's speed time up to February, shall we?
Clever, but not so much.
The "greatness" was delivered this generation, but there will always be more to come. Now it awaits and is in store with PS5.
You tried, but you failed at spinning that as a negative.
Who remembers this gem?

Watching this when it came out was exciting, but it's even better now that this has been a hell of a generation for PlayStation. This commercial still rings true.
The PS4 UI is zippy, minimalist, and elegant. Going from one side of the tile bar to the other is like running your hand across a row of piano keys.
It's very no-nonsense in operation and things don't feel buried. Everything can be accessed fast and I find it to be much less cumbersome than the Xbox's dashboard. Dynamic themes are a sweetener.
I have some affection for this UI and wouldn't mind seeing it carry over to PS5.
I'm sure Naughty Dog will take care of everyone, but I'm glad I have a Pro for this game. The Pro will be where the game shines brightest, and for this game, I need the best version.
There's even less sense in playing it up.
This is what we call a 'nothingburger.'
'PlayStation' gamers have nothing to play? Come on, dude. Sony can't go without an exclusive for five minutes, but Microsoft can go for years without anything exclusive to Microsoft platforms?
Gears was solid, but it took years for Microsoft to finally push a little quality out. So, what's next? I know what's next on PlayStation - The Last of Us Part II, Death Stranding, and Ghost of Tsushima.
What's coming to Microsoft platforms? ...
Yeah, bro, stick it to those guys. You got em good with that edge. I bet you could beat up any Xbox fan.
