@Sr Halo

You're acting as if this is the only thing retail workers are trained to have knowledge of. They familiarize themselves with a lot of products to inform a walk-in customer who could be a layman.

You're disingenuous... again.

I can see a little confusion at the first cursory glance, but I don't think it's as off-putting some are making it out to be. There will be different titles and descriptions on each model. Take a moment to read them. Problem solved.

I hear a lot of nonsense talk about "ADD" on this site. Well, slow down, take a breath, and read the big title on the front of the box, and then read the description on the back. You could also use the internet to help you out....

Yeah, dude, none of the mechanical, story, or general design criticisms leveled at DG were valid because you had a few bad-apple reviewers who lamented the game's Conservative bent and moaned about the lack of black zombies.

Let's broaden our vision, eh?

If by "meaty" you mean padded then I totally agree.

I liked O'Brien and his arc, and I'll chalk up much of what I didn't like to Bend Studio being unfamiliar with this type of project as well as the scale of it.

When I think of a possible Days Gone 2, I think they could deliver a much better experience on the second go. With the added horsepower of PS5, and general refinement to all of the games aspects and systems, they may be able ...

My biggest problem as a Day One player were the audio desyncing issues.

I'd see Deacon's mouth moving and hear nothing; at the same time I'd hear Rikki but her character model would be statuesque. It wasn't just jarring - it was downright broken.

The best moments were fighting hordes, but even that was a simple exercise of simply running, stopping briefly to fire or chuck an explosive, then continue running.

The human ...

It looks really good.

Can't tell if it's for me, but visually it looks impressive.

2383d ago 1 agree1 disagreeView comment

That's disingenuous.

You're not seriously expecting all games to be photo-realistic on these next-gen consoles, are you? I doubt it. They're going to load faster, have better image quality, and run better, but they're not all going to be pushing the highest levels of fidelity, visually speaking.

There's also a game's style to consider, and what effects and attributes developers prioritize.

@Ricegum

It's a foregone conclusion that you'd find it disagreeable as well.

Not sure why you think you can point fingers.

Consoles are closed and fixed; of course they can't "catch up" to something that can always be amended.

2383d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

It's really not that confusing, dude. You're just looking for a reason - any reason to malign it. Honestly, if you're that "confused" then I would say you probably weren't that bright to begin with.

Mercedes Benz uses a letter class system for their cars to make distinctions in quality, fuel efficiency, luxury, etc. What Microsoft is doing with Xbox Series X is much like that. I anticipate something like a Z or Y class going forward, where the lett...

"It doesn't stand out either"

That's the point. Not a fan of flashy consoles. It's perfect for me.

@Silvershiptrip

I'm not a fanboy and I don't care about your opinion on the PS5 devkit; all I asked was what your ideal console would look like since you're so opposed to the minimalist design of this. It's literally a tiny tower. You're, of course, under no obligation to give me your reasoning, but it 'would' do you credit to do so.

Sheesh.

@Silvertripship

For someone making the charge that this design is bland, boring, and uninspiring, you sure aren't doing a very good job supporting your opinion. Lend some weight to it with reasoning and describe how your ideal console looks, at least.

This is going to be one powerful console.

@Silvershiptrip

What do you want it to look like? What shape would inspire you? What kind of look would excite you?

2384d ago 2 agree2 disagreeView comment

Agreed about the design and yes, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 has me excited.

For a split second I was taken aback, then came to love it.

@nucky64

Problem?

Honestly, I was a little underwhelmed by the yellow trees. Looked pretty video gamey, whereas The Japanese Maples of the first showing looked much more impressive and convincing.

The in-engine footage of Hellblade 2 was leaps and bounds over everything shown in Ghost of Tsushima, though I am very much looking forward to Ghost of Tsushima.

Senua's facial movement was unlike anything we've seen this gen, technically eclipsing anything Ghost of Tsus...

Not sure what you're driving at.

Are you going to arrive at a point, ultimately?

2384d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

"However, I'm also a bit disappointed in the direction the game seems to be taking."

I say this in a friendly yet curious tone: How do you know what direction the game seems to be taking? There was no game play here - only an in-engine announcement trailer that looked very impressive.

I can understand if you didn't like the trailer itself, but we still know nothing about the game play.

Microsoft gets money no matter what you choose, and you have absolutely zero basis for your last comment. Literally... zero.

I suppose you should be congratulated for typing a comment though.
