You just sound paranoid.
As soon as we get PS5 details, Eurogamer will be all over them like flies on shit. They love new consoles and tech. They're going to cover PS5 really hard, don't worry.
I find it funny how people were all "We don't know shit about Xbox Scarlett" then overnight we knew way more about Scarlett than PS5. We know more about it's SSD (NVMe) and it's RAM (GDDR6) and now we know what it looks like and how it...
Well, I don't know that they've necessarily rewritten the rules of console design, but they've definitely deviated from the conventions of console design in a radical way.
Yes, the shape is a simple tall box, but it's decidedly tower-like resembling a PC tower, and not pressed like consoles usually are. Consoles have been flat since the earliest models like the early Atari models.
This is very different and nobody expected it.
@Father and Rain
Eurogamer have always been objective and they've always reported the facts. They've always supported their findings with actual tangible analysis, and they've broken down that analysis in a way that laymen could understand to the best of their ability. If one machine performs better than another, and you can't take it, that's your problem. I've seen the findings go both ways over the span of the two gens I've deferred to them.

I loved it so much. Great interpretation of Midgard - really liked what they did with the mythology. Everything about the game was top notch.
Easily one of my top games of the generation.
Who keeps approving this nonsense?
I 'did' look at the gif - what am I looking at?
It looks good, but I'm not blown away.
Alright the reflections - but I've never been blown away by reflections. I think particle effects like in God of War are much more... spellbinding... if you will. That small gif doesn't say much to me, and the trailer or whatever I linked says nothing to me at all.
The lighting and fog systems of KZSF and HZD are more impressive to me.
Look, I'm not trying to dump on anything, but I'm not impressed. I'm sure that PS5 graphics are going...

You 'really' thought THAT looked "fantastic."
I've seen much better stuff come outta this gen.
I think it's just a ploy to get some actual, meaty footage shown.
You guys are easily confused, man.
See, I don't see it that way at all.
I see "Series X" as classy and subdued, and maybe even a little pretentious. Nothing about it or the way it's been marketed seem extreme to me at all. I think Microsoft only touted power with the X1X because they wanted people to know that Sony no longer had the power advantage, and that they had gotten serious about making a game machine, and that this was their way going forward.
I see no gimmicks ...
It makes sense, I like it, and I'm going to buy it. I'm sure it will also look great on my entertainment center.
The controls in RE4 feel like you're driving a tank in reverse while missing three wheels and the tracks missing.
I hate the F&F movies - always did.
Just make the damn games.
I agree.
There's nothing to base this on - what's with so many people being baseless lately?
I'm still excited about Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, though. Ready to see what Microsoft's backing has afforded Ninja Theory and this project.
DS1 was good as was DS3, but I agree about Bloodborne.
I'd place it above any game in the Souls series, easily.
@Hardiman
This game is similar to AC games in some respects, but not the good ones - the bad ones.
How is "clear out that infestation" any different than "clear out that Athenian camp" except that the combat options in AC Odyssey were more spectacular and varied?
Go rescue that dumb NPC (that you already rescued a hundred times) who is also poorly animated and lazily strewn about the entire game world and says the s...
@Loktai
Anyone who's old enough and has enough money to buy this product on their own will easily understand the differences. People in the know... will know. People (CONSUMERS) who aren't informed will be informed by people in the know.
When it comes to a purchase this big, people will take the time to get all the facts. People can be confused, certainly, but with all the help out there these days in the form of retail workers and the internet, ...
@gangsta_red
You're on N4G - a site with a Sony bent. Intellectual honesty is thrown out the window in favor of anti-Microsoft/pro-Sony sentiment.
Look at Days Gone. Reviewers were crucified for stating how they felt, like Kallie Plagge and others, and the results were spun by the pro-Sony crowd as, of course, anti-Sony behavior. Kallie Plagge (the vilest woman on the internet) was a goddess when she rated Death Stranding a 9.5, so you know the deal....
