I can't wait as well. Heard the game (F1 2010) looks great, and the weather effects are beyond amazing...again, what I've heard.
For once DLC that isn't ridiculously priced. 10 cars for $5...not bad at all. If only I have the money to buy the game.
Fallout 3 trumps Oblivion in every way shape and form. Aside from that, the other 4 games are worthy for this list, accept perhaps Borderlands, but it's still new so I want to wait and see how they support it with DLC.
What pisses me off is when the media gets bothered by a game that depicts a war on US soil...yet they have no problem with war elsewhere? Do people forget that wars happen all over this world, hell we're fighting a few right now overseas. People are dying, but as soon as you bring it to the US, people have a problem? Hypocrites.
Yeah, I meant to say she get's headaches playing 1st person view games, not 3rd, sorry. I'd love to be able to potentially one of the best games of the year with her but 1st person kills it for her.
3rd person as an option would be great. There are a lot of people (like my girlfriend) who can't play 3rd person because it gives her a headache, causes nausea/headaches, and as a result she misses out on great games like MW1. 3rd person would really open up the game for a lot of people, which would be awesome.
We're slowly updating the list ( http://www.cheapassgamer.co... and it seems that many of the games are about 100 MB smaller. Anything around 3.4 is obviously going to be quite a bit smaller but yeah, keep an eye on the list.
From what I've heard the second update was for bug fixing and such.
The update should be going live on August 11th, according to Major Nelson.
Unfortunately, it looks like a good majority of the games are going to be affected to some degree. Just because the games are installing smaller isn't a testament to MS. It's due to the type of game, graphics, and size/scope the developers aimed for.
Halo 3 has always been one of the few games that performs worse. I'm hoping some one tests it out soon because the size is smaller...perhaps that will lead to better performance off of the HDD?
It was reported to be 6.8 GB still. If you check the thread the story links to, about 10 games were just updated and there's some nice space savings there.

Here's the list for those that are lazy;

I'm wondering if MS took out some buffer data or something. The games are already compressed to fit onto the DVDs, why compress them again, you know?
The inclusion of NASCAR, meaning EA is NOT involved, makes me extremely happy. With actual damage modeling, i see no reason to get Forza 3 now.
The images are from the Wii and PSP versions...everyone knows the Wii isn't a graphics powerhouse.
Considering the PSPs CPu was unlocked in 2007, and the last F1 game on the PSP came out in 2006 i believe, i'm really looking forward to seeing that extra 33% of CPU power put to good use. I really need a good racing game on the PSP.
Would have preferred in-game footage at 60 fps...
I use Acronis right after reformatting. It basically takes a snapshot of your harddrive and saves that to disc. I was able to get XP to fit to a regular DVD and Vista on a DL-DVD. Really makes reformatting hassle free.
How else do you think people survived before there was fast food? While i don't like that people hunt for fun, so long as they put the meat and skin to good use, it's their choice and they are allowed to do so. My girlfriend's father got 6 deer this past season; he split the meat with the butcher and friends/family who didn't get out to hunt. He also donated the deer skin and antlers to the Longhouse so that nothing was wasted.
Interestingly enough this game wasn't announced until TODAY...meaning someone broke the embargo...
