I think the decision Sony has to make is if they want 2 analog sticks or if they want a touchscreen. They could have both but analog sticks are going to seriously dictate the design of the PSP2...while a touchscreen can leave it open to just about anything.
3D is completely unnecessary for portable gaming. I'm glad they've shot this down early. Really looking forward to the PSP2 and how they go about designing it. Fingers crossed it's either the size of a cellphone or they make it fold-able, like the DS, so that the screen is protected.
I'll probably go into shock/overload when i pop the game into my PS3. 20 tracks with 70 layouts AND 1,000+ cars...I won't know where to start. Can't wait :D
I don't care what anyone says, Polyphony Digital absolutely nails lighting in GT5. Playing Forza 3 right now just feels like playing with plastic cars...nothing looks real.
I honestly don't see Forza 4 looking better than GT5. GT5 has been in development for 5+ years, that's what has enabled them to make the game look so good. To tweak ever little setting and calculation... *drools*
The new Need For Speed Hot Pursuit looks great too. Great season for racing games!
Flashpoint was a good game, not sure what you're talking about. It wasn't your run-of-the-mill, face-paced action shooter like a lot of crap that's out these days. You had to take your time and plan your shots while sneaking up on the enemies. I liked it.
Back on topic...I can't wait for F1 2010. It looks amazing but more importantly everything I see and hear boasts about how well the cars handle. Any racing fan knows that a game MUST handle well.
From what's I've heard and read, the game is going to be set up more like challenges than outright winning. So instead of tasking the playing with winning in a back-marker, the player will be 'challenged' to finish 10th, or 12th, or something similar to that, early on at least. As you move up and get offers from other teams and your performance improves your goals will change.

As for my original comment, I don't get why there are 5 disagrees. I was simply observing that GT5 will likely give us the ability to customize parts just like in Forza 3. I doubt there will be a paint mode though.
I'd say the customization is going to be extremely close, parts-wise, to Forza 3.
I REALLY want this game but I hate it when devs/publishers do this shit. I'm still leaning towards the Collector's Edition but something tells me they are going to rape our wallets again with multiple DLC releases at $10 apiece.
Unless you're a fanboy/girl, you have to admit that on quite a few close-ups of Alan and other characters, they looked a bit rough around the edges. That's what I'm trying to point out. The game, overall, looks good, I agree, but there are a lot of times where the characters look jagged and out of place with the nice backdrops. To each their own but I know what I saw. I'll try to dig up some screenshots/video sometime today.

Agreed. I noticed A LOT of really 'fuzzy' and jagged textures throughout the game. Anything up close really...but the backdrops/backgrounds looked great. Mountains overlooking water = wallpaper worthy.
How was this approved? We know NOTHING other than the possibility of an announcement in the future...
No voice chat outside of your squad on the consoles. That's what I get for not getting the PC version, huge mistake in DICE's case though.
It may not happen during every game, but sure enough, the first game I jumped into earlier this evening and I see 4 guys on a cluster of rocks sniping. Considering there were only 8 people on the team...
But it's not always bad, just often times the bad outweighs the good. Like when we should be arming the M-COM stations and half the team is sitting back sniping ;)
So there is now a time limit/frame for reviews? The game was released roughly 2 months ago. Heaven forbid people take their time to play a game instead of spewing crap based on an hour or two worth of experience.
EDIT: COD fanboy? The only other COD games I've played were COD4 and COD2. I wouldn't call two prior games fanboy worthy...not to mention I can't stand COD6. The spawn system is terrible, the hit detection is horrendous, and the lag/hosting is laughable. ...
It's an improvement over 2009. They should have included a short tutorial on how the ground-game works for us newbies :)
Really hoping they show the damage system in action sometime soon. From what I've seen so far it isn't all that great. Fingers crossed its old builds we've been seeing. I can't imagine PD would put damage in the game without doing it properly...that said, bring it on! I can't wait for November!
