Noted and removed, thanks. Could have sworn it was a November release.
It'll be the best holiday season for this current console generation, yes.
True, but have you seen the games coming out this Fall? GT5, something we've been waiting for for nearly 6 years. Halo: Reach, the last Halo game from Bungie. These are things that aren't going to happen next year, or the year after that for that matter.
Most of those titles seem fairly certain at this point. TDU2 kind of surprised me, but with all of the racing games coming out this Fall I'm not surprised (even though they cited the multiplayer needing more work).
I found the controls EXTREMELY clunky and overall rather slow. It just took me out of the game when I had to constantly battle the controls to get my character to where I wanted.
EA no longer has the license I believe. That's why there isn't a NASCAR 11 (or 10 for that matter).
There is no HUD, so while I won't say the footage is pre-rendered, it appears this was perhaps before they possibly settled on a definite number. I agree, I hope 8 isn't true and that it is in fact 16.
Good catch. Therefore the only explanation for that timing is either 1. they are just coming up to speed, or 2. there was a caution on the first lap.
I was always under the impression we would see 12-16 NASCAR cars on-track. Perhaps this is just for the preview build, but we'll see come November. Either way, 8 cars is still enough to have fun racing online, especially considering how these cars damage up, I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot of wreckers.
Aside from not being drawn into the Blue Dragon universe what-so-ever, I agree, the art style just screams "bland".
Looks good. You can clearly tell the dynamic weather system from F1 2010 is being used, should be a blast to race on.
I don't think so. He posts often on the official forums that he's played just about every racing game from the last 10 years (mostly F1 games)...and he hardly ever bashes a game. Honestly, if he was going to bash something, you would think he'd mention how awesome the weather system is in F1 2010 compared to other racing games...but he hasn't (to my knowledge).
No, it's about the AI providing a challenge throughout the race. I want the AI to rough me up, but not spin me out (often) and ram me off the road. Essentially, I want some excitement when I race (singleplayer)...and that just doesn't happen with racing games these days.
I disagree. Racing games, especially SIMULATIONS are supposed to be about the racing and the action. I want to be side-by-side, banging doors, rubbing fenders. And I want the AI to do the same (within reason). I've yet to play a racing game where this is pulled off reasonably well and still have the racing be fun.
Sadly, the closest I can think of is Flatout: Ultimate Carnage. It wasn't a simulation, but the AI put up a good fight...if not for the HORRIBLE rubber-band...
I tend to agree. Forza becomes extremely repetitive quickly. At least with Gran Turismo you start out in underpowered cars and work your way towards the supercar beasts. That said, The AI never presents a challenge. Get a slight horsepower advantage and you're set.
I was going to include that, but I felt it would skew the numbers a bit since it's for the PSP and not the PS3. I did think about it, but it would have favored GT5 a bit too much I felt (article integrity wise) :)
*I need more bubbles. 4 is definitely not enough.
I wouldn't say ALL profit, considering we expect Sony to put forth a valiant marketing campaign. But their deficit is going to be close to nill/0. Props to Sony and PD.
Thanks, will update the numbers.
EDIT: Updated the article and added a link to the one you provided. Thanks again. I also pointed out that the Forza 2 and 3 numbers were from vgchartz since I have been unable to find a reliable source other than that for those two games. *damn you wikipedia and not having every answer in the world!*
Eventually, yes. Never underestimate the power of gear-heads. I just find it amazing that Gran Turismo 5 Prologue has essentially paid for the development costs of it AND Gran Turismo 5.
Is this the same game that you could play in the arcades?
