No UMD drive is the right way to go. They need a flash-based storage medium for the PSP2. I was thinking people could send their games in and get a code to download them on the PSN (i'm sure the PSP2 will be backwards compatible). It may take a while, but i think it's the best compromise and it allows Sony to then resell the PSP games to users who have yet to get a PSP2. That, or they could have a program setup with GameStop/Walmart/any big chain where we trade our games in there and get ...
So many AAA titles announced for the PSP, this is great news. Finally, games are coming to the PSP, 2009 is going to be a great year. Oh, and it looks like my little petition is no longer needed ;)

Can't wait. Hand down one of the best games i've ever played. I just hope they improved the inventory system...
The problem with the low KZ2 reviews is they usually say nothing innovative has been done. But they are the same reviewers who gave GTA IV, Gears 2, and Halo 3 9+/10. Thankfully, we all know KZ2 is a great game withe one of the deepest multiplayer experiences to be had.
I will forever prefer EGMs 3 reviews method of reviewing games.
The best RTS on any console to date and their negatives are;
* Covenant not playable in campaign mode, Flood not playable at all
* Small unit counts and map limit the scale of battles
* Very few multiplayer options.
6.5 - are you sh¡tting me?
I'm not entirely sure what the PSPs wireless capabilities are outside of Ad-hoc and Infrastructure, but perhaps a wireless guitar would work? I mean, if the PSP can be a wireless remote for the PS3, i'm sure it could work for the PSP...
I made a mock up of Guitar Hero on the PSP a while ago if anyone is interested;

The idea was to either use the buttons on the PSP (Left, L, R, Circle) or actually build a mini-USB guitar that folds in half or something...
So someone disagrees with me for being curious...?
Curious to see this 'new' direction EA is taking with the NFS series.
The PSP will NEVER come back and beat the DS. But in many eyes, it's already won. It's done what no other company has been able to do for almost 20 years...actually compete with Nintendo. 40+ million units is nothing to scoff at either. Right now, Sony needs to (and is) focus on getting more games on the PSP. We have quite a few coming out this year, and some big name titles at that. By now, the PSP has distinguished itself from the DS as a handheld gaming device that has great graphics...
Hot Shots GOlf: Open Tee 2, God of War: Chains of Olympus, Jeanne D'Arc, Flow, Tekken: Dark Resurrection, Phantasy Star Portable (the demo was a blast), and there are plenty of games coming out soon and over the course of the year that are going to be great.
40+ million. That's roughly 30% of the handheld gaming marketshare that Sony has been able to take away from Nintendo. This is more of a make-or-break year for the PSP and there are a plethora of titles coming out this year that will surely spur interest and sales. Developers that left the PSP a couple years ago are returning back because of strong hardware sales.
But to say no one cares...that's saying 40 million people don't care and i would beg to differ. The PSP may not b...
Don't forget Mana Khemia: Student Alliance, Prinny: Can I Really Be A Hero, and MLB '09: The Show. And these are games which will be out within the next 2 months...plenty more where that came from :)
The TW games have always been...alright, but if you want a FUN golf game on the PSP, get Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee 2. I would have preferred a couple more mini-games but the game easily gets a 90/100.
The fundamental flaw with COD4 is that there is no penalty for quitting a match. I don't care what anyone says, when i join a game only to see my team has 2 people (myself included) and 0 points while the other team is full and has 200+ points...that to me us a HUGE flaw. Hopefully KZ2 won't have this problem.
For me, it's all about attention to detail. Whether it be graphics, sound, controls, etc., if the developer(s) can nail each of these items without bringing anything new to the genre, i couldn't care less. I just want something fun, and when i can shoot an enemy in KZ2 and see them die 100 different times, that to me is 'awesome'.
I look at Gears 2 and the graphics, honestly, didn't impress. Nor did the campaign, especially the final 'boss' fight which was a joke :( But i sti...
I wasn't all that impressed with the game, but it did have some fun moments. I'm surprised it sold 5.7 million between all the platforms but if there were a company that needed some good sales, it's Lucas Arts (and Midway...).
But the point is that many PS3 owners are not using their PS3's for Blu-ray movies, just video gaming. And while nothing is wrong with that, including a movie that costs Sony $5-10 with every PS3 would mean each PS3 owner has at least a chance to try the new technology out, people who may have otherwise not been interested.
I'm hoping something on par with the Wii (but on a smaller screen so it looks better). Anything more and the battery will drain just as quickly as the PSP does now.
