Pass then. Rousey is ignorant and transphobic, on top of her history of body shaming women who don't meet her personal views on physical form. It's funny how people get fired for racial slurs and homophobic remarks but then the industry just straight up hires someone like Rousey. She's no role model. I'm going to cross my fingers and hope this is a forced WB choice and not a choice by the NetherRealm team.

I'll agree. Nier Automata is the "Emporer's new Clothes" of the generation. People think it's deep and meaningful when it's honestly very poorly executed. From the story to the characters to the premise to the combat, to the overused, overall theme: the game was below average. Just goes to show you just need a soundtrack, plot, and theme from most "adult" 90's anime and you have a hit. What a disappointment.

I miss the days of the old "Icon" box art. You walk through the store and see that medallion--it caught your eye and pulled you in. Mortal Kombat 11 box art is just like every other sodding modern game box art: Guy striking a pose with weapon. That's it. He's even covering up the old iconic symbol to show everyone they think you only really care about the name and if the characters look cool. I guess it's truth in advertising though as Scorpion is probably the only ...

"VC4 is mediocre" - I can agree with this.
The overall story was mundane and the characters were nothing but overused anime tropes. It's frustrating because the series has a lot of potential, but it always sugar coats everything and you're left with nothing but a teen melodrama with some of the most insulting themes I've seen in a game.
The simplistic, straight-forward gameplay can be entertaining and satisfying, but players will soon realize just how ...

I don't really give down-votes on comments, but I can say why what I'm seeing isn't striking me. It's because I've seen nothing new or interesting that plays with the sandbox formula.
The game has suffered a good amount of delays in its development. While everyone talks about the graphics and the "power of the cloud" they fail to realize when teams need to hit a time frame with a budget they simply do what's tried and tested with gameplay. That ...

Oh of course. Sjw's were the one's who gutted out most of the content, produced the confusing and lack luster single player, installed the predatory micro-transaction heavy progression system, put the graphic bugs and match making glitches within the multiplayer, forced EA to have only a handful of unheard of maps and battles at launch, and pushed the game out way to early in order to take advantage of "Early Access" culture.

What was the biggest react...

I'll agree with the opinion of the writer of the article- gaming is valid as a competitive sport and the physical and mental exertion of the competitors do qualify them as athletes. I know people like to use "sports" as defined in the dictionary but, like all texts, definitions expand and adapt to the times. I feel this is a more an argument of semantics. I mean I certainly don't want to see sitting at a PC as a replacement credit to Phys Ed, but that's why we call t...

R* isn't immune to criticism. Yes, they produce high quality games, but at the cost of over working employees through infamous crunch windows. They also sparked the "games as service" craze with their GTA online--a grindfest of a multiplayer with most of the progression stripped out to create an incentive to purchase items from the real cash shop. This is happening again in Red Dead Redemption 2's online multiplayer. Thanks to the near billions they've made from this ...

Wasn't this known during the "beta"? The red flags were the same glitches found in Fallout 4 and Skyrim making a return in 76. The community managed to fix those glitched, so it's rather sad Bethesda couldn't even be bothered to apply the fixes themselves for this release fully knowing they were there and would happen again.

Is in game currency really any sort of compensation? From any publisher to any fan-base? You can only spend it on the specific title, they teach you to buy their micro-transations, and the company itself sacrifices nothing and ends up even in the end.

I mean some will probably say "it's better than nothing", I'd say this is worse than nothing. A game you feel cheated when bought it and have been refusing refunds for? Well here's five dollars go bu...

I don't know, I feel people have a right to get upset when they hear news like this especially when it comes to mediums of art--because it's personal. There's an emotion connection to these worlds, characters, along with the franchise itself as a whole. People have invested their time and energy into these titles on the good faith Blizzard would treat them with respect and understanding. For a time this was true.

There's only one reason to create a mobil...

Oddly enough, I honestly feel ActivisionBlizzard doesn't have much choice other than to embrace the mobile market as hard as possible. When ActivisionBlizzard included lootboxes in their titles such as Overwatch, their stocks and profits skyrocketed to all new highs. Trouble is, investors don't just want results of the previous fiscal year met--they want them exceeded. No excuses. So how do they reduce cost while still raking in hundreds of millions to see end-over-end gain for inve...

The last one they hopelessly chased Soul Excalibur in transition to 3D. Now it looks like a Street Fighter 4 mod. Seriously if you cut this trailer up and stuffed it into a Street Fighter 4 trailer nobody would bat an eye. SNK...what was wrong with the hand drawn sprites? Especially now tech exists to do sprite-like 3D models? You're even using the same engine >.< Just knock on Arc System's door and barrow a cup of sugar.

It just feels like they don&#...

Yeah I'm calling bullocks on this. Sounds like they are just trying to get some press in order to stir up support to counter the negative feedback from the latest DLC news.

I do wish they wouldn't include the name of the gunman in the article. The gunman made a choice to pick up a firearm and kill other human beings--it does feel wrong to empower the individual over anyone else affected by the shooting. People remember the shooter's name while the names of the victims are lost to the record as simple statistics.

Please stop giving a platform to those who felt murder was the only way they could gain attention.

@Monolith
Was that comment even directed at me? I'm informing someone their perception of the FGC might not be the roses and daisies they think it is. How on earth is that intolerant or toxic of me to do? I didn't insult the person, call names, use caps, or spit irrational nonsense. They're going to have their own opinions and views sure, and the odds of changing anyone's mind on line is slim to none--but it's important to challenge and ask someone to look a bi...

I do wish the first Assassin's Creed was given more credit. For a game that was pushed out a year early and ported to a second console without warning, it set a solid platform for the series.

Too much credit is given to Assassin's Creed 2, and I personally see it as the big screw up the series. It gave us pointless fluff, superfluous mechanics, on rails missions structure, Ezio (Italian James Bond), and an incredibly slanted and underwhelming view of history. It...

I'm sorry, but that just isn't true. Thinking that way is even more harmful because it casts a blind eye to the glaring issues throughout the FGC. To be ignorant of something like this means to condone it, since the only reason this sort of thing happen is because people let it happen--developers and players alike.

You can find several articles and comments from top players of the FGC, along with commentators and long time members about the rampant amount of toxi...

I'm pretty okay with this decision by the developers. I'm sorry but when you boil it down, players are trying to attack and emotionally hurt other players for whatever reason--this shouldn't be allowed. When you want to hurt someone you don't say "you dumb doody pooty head meanie!" You go for the throat with the intention to damage the other person and will go with the most vicious, vile, slanderous thing you could possibly think of in order to do so. By putting ...
