I agree Wii U should look pretty amazing in the short term at least, if only because I believe the Next Box and PS4 will look significantly better.

The reasoning behind the article is pointless....anyone with the capability to 'think' will come to the realization that home game systems are at least (and I'm probably being generous here) 10-15 years away from Avatar quality visuals.
What we can expect though, is a representation of these visuals....kinda like a Parrot that mimics speech/sounds, as opposed to actually speaking....
That being stated...I for one am still impressed by the graphica...
If Black Ops 2 on Wii U is 1080p native, 60FPS and has cleaner, sharper textures...how is it on par?

It's designed to steal attention from the Wii U launch...it doesn't take an Einstein to work that out.
However, as a replacement or entry system for those late to the party, this is a cool move by Sony.
The storage issue is not such a deal breaker to the casual, and the replacement purpose will more than likely see an old HDD added from the replaced PS3 by most existing users.
My only gripe is why the thing looks so cheap and ugly.......
I'm happy with PS3 and have no interest in buying Wii U at this stage. I'll wait for a true Wii U 1st Party killer (Metroid/Zelda/Mariokart) that is not constrained by multiplat in this current gen.....

Resi 1-3 & C.Veronica may be classics ...but I rinsed these games on original release.... the only way I'd want them again is if they were remakes with the resi 6 engine.....
Degeneration is basic at best, actors voices just like like PS1 FMV's ....and the only worth while game to revisit is resi 4 HD, 5 maybe...and 6 is as yet an unknown quantity for me.
So both bundles are kinda whack IMO
psn+ raises the bar for value driven subscription services....even if the games are never really yours to keep, it's still worth it for the exclusive content, early access and trial before you buy games.
*I've seen the awesome selection of games xbox Live has to buy...but on a rotation like basis (like psn+) MS should give back to their loyal gold members some freebies too.....

Well, I can say I have upgraded my HDD from 160 - 500GB and have been re-downloading all my stuff again from the store since the 7th sept ...it's still on now some 3 days later....no issues, not even hot!
