1 year later and I couldn't care less for the DLC...if it is free yeh, but expecting us to pay for what is essentially old DLC is a joke, especially when they can't code PS3 efficiently....
Far Cry 3's engine pisses all over Skyrim' in terms of draw distance and has a better frame rate, with far fewer bugs.
So what if Skyrim is more complicated, don't attempt complicated if you can't deliver Bitchfesda!!!
Ahh yes I see your point, but Maria, LA Noire used completely different assets such as advanced facial motion capture, very storage intensive...plus Max Payne did have an install on PS3, not sure about 360...
Regarding 14GB...i'm just speculating, and i'm pretty sure code has been optimized since Max Payne, and data compression techniques will have improved by the time GTA V is released...
But as I say, i'm only speculating...no hard evidence here :)

I'd guess GTA V will come in at no more than 14GB. It'll likely force both PS3/360 to Mandatory install to compensate for slower BluRay access/loading and because GTA V will likely ship on 2 discs for 360.....unless R* can work a minor miracle.

A bunch of us spent Saturday night at a mates to help him celebrate his Wii U purchase, and to see Wii U in action.
To be fair, Zombie U is a cool game, but it underachieved. I like the ideas more than the execution....we all kept thinking 'why can't we do that, or go there, or use that'?
Wii U has double the ram of both 360/PS3 but U cannot see evidence of it yet...Nintendo will need to Wow us.

It's simple, go with the console you most enjoy the games on...multiplats are gonna be identical on both PS/Xbox next.
Therefore it'll come down to the 1st party exclusives next gen.
All these CPU/GPU number comparisons are utter nonsense!!!
IMO it doesn't matter how powerful the specs of a console, it's down to the developers to play to its strengths.
360 launched 1 year prior to the arguably more powerful PS3, but because of the 360 attach rate at the time (5 million +) the 3rd party developers coded to the 360 spec, meaning PS3 was not pushed at all, instead receiving shoddy ports just like Wii U receives in 2012.
Interestingly, I don't see the same for Nintendo. The 3rd party ...

PS+ is undeniably good value to everybody new to PS3 or not.
My only gripe is the inflated prices on PS Store...I mean £59.99 for Farcry 3, when I walked into HMV and picked it up for £39.99...That's £20 more for a product with zero shipping, packaging costs???

90 days should be the limit to free trials. I want Sony to make money from PS+ so they can improve the service going fwd.
MS makes 100's of millions each year from Gold members...Sony need that kind of additional revenue.
Sony need to promote PSN, PS+ and PS Home to the casual audience more so than the core.

Agreed on the security thing as was encrypted so no real threat to users. Although it was bad press at the time, not good for Sony's image.

The moral is...no matter how deep a corporations pockets ...you just cannot buy your way into the hearts and minds of the gamers nor can you buy up every game/dlc to make yours exclusive!
Hate on Nintendo Wii U/Platinum Games for Bayonetta 2, yet a certain corp. tried to monopolize GTA series and all they could muster was timed DLC exclusives...tut, tut!
*Some will bring up Sony Ps1/Ps2 days of exclusivity.....

It's a no brainer as to why PS3 is the Netflix choice device of viewing...its so easy to use and you only pay for the service as opposed to paying a ridiculous premium (Live) just to access it, let alone view it.....truly MS are a greedy bunch!
