The Wii U needs GTA5 and Nintendo need to start showing some of its own 1st party killer (Zelda, Mariokart, Metroid) titles.
Interestingly...we're starting to see more and more Wii U comparisons over PS3/360...just like pathetic PC comparisons....It's ridiculous on all counts...comparing anything released now, to 7 year old hardware lol. ...

You can argue the benefits of PC all day long ...Superior GPU, CPU, Ram ....but the humble 'Console' is at the centre of the games industry...the PC will not be making a comeback any time soon...

You can never be totally sure about MS ...but as proven historically (Sony's previous consoles) the PS3 will continue to be supported years from PS4's launch.
360 should be supported as long as it is still viable or it's a kick in the ghoulies for every 360/Xbox Live user who invested in their consoles.
Gaming hobby ain't cheap...its a huge investment for every serious gamer out there!

I for one cannot recall a time Nintendo let their core fans down...So you and other Wii U purchasers can rest in the knowledge that Nintendo will provide the goods.
I think the Gamestrailer review was fair...in that I understood the reviewers point in there is no 'stand out' game to justify existing PS3/360 owners to jump ship or buy as a 2nd console.

You can't have it both ways....we all want fair reviews that provide us as much non bias as possible...Gametrailers (IMHO) attempted to do just that.
It seems there are a lot of console owners who get very perturbed and defensive when things aren't favourable to their chosen platform. It's an insecure emotion for the most part.

Very doubtful....nobody knows at this point (maybe not even Sony)....but I would hazard a guess Spring 2014 (possibly April/May) is the target launch period.
Xbox on the other hand, probably Nov/Dec 2013 in time to capitalize on the winter holiday period...
It don't matter to me personally, I'm in no rush to upgrade with GTA5, Last of Us, MW4, BF4 and Beyond releasing 2013...all these games I'm looking forward to among many others.

A Sony without 'Portable Hardware' would free resources for R&D, effective 'Marketing' of their feature (flagship) product (PS3/4), instead of spreading the butter so thinly across so many verticals.

I own a PS3..so no fanboy rubbish here..just the truth.
PS Vita should be Sony's last dedicated gaming handheld. IMO Sony has never been strong in this area (portable consoles) and Nintendo (3DS) has basically the best of that entire market on a global level.
Sony are currently (as with PSP) wasting resources on this product. Vita's overpriced for today's market and most of its games are available on PS3 in one form or another. Also, a significant...

Firstly, we all need to separate PC and console...the 2 are very different products, so comparisons are futile.
Secondly, and I know this won't be very popular among the readers...but Sony's PS3 is very much still a very capable product. If Sony wanted to, they could follow Nintendo's (very successful) blueprint by releasing a (PS3 enhanced) console for next gen.

I'm not defending Activision or the developers, personally MW1 is the best in the series.... but actually, Treyarch at least tried to add more emotion and choices to Black Ops 2 in spite of the old game engine...
Yes, the PS3 version got less love than 360 (I own PS3/Copy), but it's not the game breaker some sites report it to be....

Yes the Wii U is a disappointment IMO...but then I gave up on Nintendo after the Gamecube.
The 2nd screen doesn't have to be utilized...they can make games that use it as just a controller (obviously), so don't worry about losing resources on 2nd screen rendering.
I hope Nintendo fans get everything they want out of Wii U, and i'm sure the fans get Nintendo products for Nintendo's own 1st party games.
