If we're expected to pony up potentially $400-$500 on next gen ....Why shouldn't we expect both awesome visuals and better game play/stories?

I don't see MS releasing their box 1st as a major deal. It made little difference in the long term (MS is only 2mil units ahead with a 1 year lead).
Most people I know who had an xbox have 'jumped' to PS3. No matter how amazing your tech is, ppl only care about the games.
I myself will wait at least 2 years before I upgrade my PS3 to PS4. Let early adopters test the hardware, wait for the games to release and I will purchase PS4 when PS3 games dr...

I am afraid the good news that is GTA5 is being soured by dumb fanboy comments comparing a game that few have seen running yet....making comparisons completely pointless at this stage.

It's good we don't have exclusivity nonsense and we all get to play....and yeah, maybe the 360 version will run slightly better...maybe they could be identical this time around too

Not to put a dark cloud over this..but i'm sure its content huge....just how much space can they fit on a dvd...unless 360 is mandatory install.....not being fanboy nothing here...just being realistic.
I am just speculating, I have no more information than anyone else here but, we could be looking at a total of 4GB Ram ...with 1GB reserved for system and 3GB video....
If so, it's a pretty decent amount...just look at what Sony have been able to do with a split 512meg in terms of visuals!
For me, I'm going the 1 console (PS4) route next gen...a combination of time, money and a (IMO) superior catalogue of games has brought me to this decision.

I have had to install almost 80% of my games collection to my PS3 500GB HDD, most PS3 users just DEAL with it.
Development/software technology has evolved since PS3/360's launch. If you still have a 20GB/4GB HDD...just how serious about gaming are you?

Sony have built a foundation on PS3 with newer IP's for transition to PS4...see Last of Us & Uncharted series as examples....and that's just two!

4.5GB is almost a full retail game...it's BIG.
But then again, install size is relative ...it depends how crowded your house (HDD) already is?
You should know by now what you're in for with PS3...it's no secret installs speed loading times due to Blu Ray's mammoth size. It's either full minute loads between levels or 10 - 20 seconds with part install.

I am a PS3 owner and am very happy with it....but truth be told, I too am peeved at the whole download/install thing on PS3.
I can see nothing positive about having to wait for the download, then waiting longer to install it...
...all I want to do is play tha dang game!!!
My only gripe, otherwise the PS3 rocks!
