The Xbox 360 must have passed 1 million units in Japan. Rarely do publishers release a game at this late stage in the hardware life cycle if sales were below that.
They must really dislike the Xbox Brand there....?
If Microsoft are still interested in cracking Japan, they should either partner or license the Next Xbox hardware to another manufacturer like JVC or Panasonic and completely remove the Xbox/MS branding.

1080P/60fps would be out of this world, but I think I can live with a graphically intensive game running at 720P on a consistent 30fps.
Increased anti-aliasing and excellent lighting will make the next gen games near CGI movie quality.

Only difference being the rumour of DDR3 and 3GB being reserved for the OS.
So theoretically (if rumour becomes fact), the PS4 should have at least a 2GB Ram advantage over the Next Box.
It will take 1st party studios to showcase the difference 2GB can make. The third parties will make all games run identically.
What is even more insane is Killzone demo on PS4 was using just 1.5GB Ram...

Most people buy a console to play GAMES...These so-called services are just another way of these companies attempts to squeeze more money out of the gamer.
Let's get back to basics - We are Gamers...that's the only service that interests me.

The only difference I can see between the Next Gen consoles will be the 1st party games.
Multiplats will look identical.
The deciding factor in which of the 2 is purchased will come down to what games you prefer.
Some will buy both, but I want just one console next gen....

Everything rumoured so far points to PS4 being primed for launch UK side around late/early Oct/Nov 2013, but numbers will be limited.
So if you want one, get pre-ordering from a reputable outlet or online now!

I don't think the article attempts to portray the Uncharted series as pioneering a genre...more refining it and reinvigorating the action/adventure genre.

The Uncharted Series (UC2 - Among Thieves my personal favourite) is how cinematic games should be done.
Amazing script, witty dialogue, excellent characterization, fantastic plot and the graphics set a benchmark across multiple genres. I could go on and on....but you would have to had played it 'thoroughly' to understand.

Thing is, 360 can do most of this TV Multimedia stuff already, so I see no innovation there.
I actually want to escape TV when I'm on a console, so Microsoft's strategy is not great for me.
These unofficially negative reports are actually giving Microsoft a lot of attention...whether that culminates a 'good thing', time will tell.
It's a damn shame if even 70% of the current Next Xbox rumours become reality.
The other 30% (you may be wondering) is all positive in that Microsoft will build a capable machine with Blu Ray functionality. On which Halo 5 will look astonishing. I am still wowed by Halo 4.

Hardly a prediction. Even someone with the most basic idea of economics could work it out.
Wii U will have a far bigger inventory than either Sony or MS come holiday season. You know it is virtually impossible for either MS/Sony to meet the demand at launch.
Wii U should have released more titles by the time the PS4/720 launch happens and will outsell the PS4/720 launch consoles by default.

I have many friends in Japan, and MS is seen as uncool in Japan. I don't think the Japanese will care too much about the 'online service branding' so much as the design of the console and it's face branding on the unit itself, and on the packaging.
It could easily have 'Powered by LIVE' for the branding online....the online service is less of an issue to the Japan Market than the actual image MS have.
