I agree 100% with MariaHelFutura!
Don't you dare try and troll Beyond - Two Souls. It is more than a game, it is a unique experience. The industry didn't have the 'Balls' to invest in these types of games...but Sony had the faith and Heavy Rain paid off!
Where is the gameplay??
Is the article's writer smoking on a glass pipe?? Heavy Rain was different, but very playable..so much so, I completed the darn thing 5 times :) <...
This game is crying out for a sequel. Heavenly Sword deserves a trophy set to re-ignite interest.
I would imagine a fair amount of gamers would pick this game up again or replay it for the trophies. I actually kept Heavenly Sword in my collection because I liked the lead character so much.
Trophy support would 100% make me re-play this in a New York Minute ;)
I think Heavenly Sword was excellent (still looks good today), but woefully neglected on PS3.
Maybe sales played a part, but it was very early in PS3's cycle....Bring Nariko back, a strong female character lead the industry and gamers need...
After the confirmed inclusion of Lobo I have to admit I was a little disappointed due to the wealth of alternative DC characters that could have been chosen....
But this dude is kick ass!!! Something like a cross between Ghost Rider and vaguely resembling the Capcom character lead from Bionic Commando.
I can't wait for the release of all the DLC characters :)
I like unlocking Trophies and the idea of a cross over would be cool. As for PS Home, the slow loading and set up put me off. If Sony port PS Home with these things addressed I would probably return to PSH.
A newly released BluRay movie would cost approx $20 for less than a couple hrs entertainment.
So for the price, 10+ hrs is a bargain especially since you experience the entertainment interactively and can influence the outcome.
Some say games are expensive for what you get, but an expense is relative. Running a car can be expense, nights out...an unwanted routine trip to the dentist etc
I'm getting a launch day PS4...so with TLOU, Beyond and GTA V to purchase first...I'm not sure I can afford more AAA games coming out on my PS3.
Remember Me?
...Remember my bank Balance ;(
This would be good for Wii U...
Long before the PS brand, Sony has had interests in Gaming. Sony manufactured the (very popular in Japan) MSX computers which hosted the very first 'Metal Gear Solid' game. Sony has developed/released games since the 1980's under a subsidiary label.
Sony designed the never released SNES CD-ROM and partnered with many other companies. I remember MS releasing Flight/Train Sims in the mid 90's, but these were very niché titles that probably had the hardest o...
Insomniac were better off with Sony than they are now with EA.
Had Insomniac stuck with Sony, the PS4 launch could have been the ideal time to make their mark.
Insomniac almost did it with the Resistance series on PS3, but unfortunately for Insomniac, it would seem Sony had more confidence in Guerilla Games.
They need to work on another genre maybe?
'Will FUSE be the Sleeper Hit of the Year?'
...No
I think if a lesson was learned here, it was Sony. Wait under 21 or so days to see the direction MS truly take Xbox.
Yeah, I can see some have a hard time swallowing just how awesomely this guy Mark Cerny has done for Sony. Appointing his expertise was a good move.
...Naysayers can disagree until they're blue in the face and the veins protrude out of their necks.
Practically every developer is praising PS4's hardware, making resistance to the truth futile.
I have often read (mostly from PC gamers) that the PS4 GPU is based on low-mid range Radeon 7### series.
What these same individuals fail to grasp is the Radeon card inside PS4 has been modified by Sony Engineers to fit the exact requirements of Sony.
This pretty much makes the GPU exclusive to PS4 and not the 'off the shelf' component some would lead us to believe.
The bottleneck in most regular Graphics Cards stem from a 2GB limit. ...
I don't own an Xbox 360 any more, but when I did, I had the pleasure of playing Halo 4, and that game looks beautiful.
With The Last of Us, GTA 5 (multiplat) and Beyond still to come, I would say there's life in the old dogs yet.
Unfortunately, with the release of Next Xbox, the Xbox 360 will probably be killed off sooner rather than later though. That's if history defines another generation.
Judging by the article, it's a slow day for content on N4G today.
To answer the question, if it means you keep coming back to the game, then YES.
In retrospect I guess Nintendo can be proud they have such a loyal defensive following.
But now is the time to ask questions of Nintendo...
The Question is, is that loyalty good for the consumer, or just good for Nintendo?
Articles such as this one get written about E3 every year and it's stale now. E3 is one of the greatest gaming/electronic consumer shows on Earth!
I suspect the article's writer was motivated by Nintendo having limited presence at E3.
Yes some software co's such as Valve etc will not be there either, but you can bet your last dime Valve would have attended E3 had the Steambox been closer to market.
E3 is very relevant and I thor...
First and foremost, I agree Nintendo hold a pedigree in gaming that is legendary. However, only a complete fool blinded by chronic fanboism will argue Nintendo aren't looking fragile on the Wii U side of things.
I have found too many Wii U owners, no matter how bleak or troubling the news, will sugar coat everything and attempt to rationalize the fact that recently, Nintendo have consistently dropped the ball.
When PS3 or the 360 camp mess up, the majorit...
Don't buy, play or even whisper the names of these QTE/Cutscene/Non-interactive games if you don't like them...
