Let's not make these sad fanboys dampen the awesomeness of the footage I just saw. I have to say, I am pretty amazed PS3 is throwing so much around on screen with such fluidity! Wow, this looks very exciting. I still play R2. The whole aliens invade earth scenario never gets old for me. :)
I own a PS3 because IMO it's more mature system which I don't really think of as a regular 'Games Console'. It actually serves a wider purpose for me (movies, TV shows, music, social activity). But as a 'Games' console, the 360 was always seen as the better option.
Now I see these type of desperado articles popping. I think the media are the biggest flamebaiters, and sadly some of us gamers fall for it.

I like how the writer acknowledged the PS3 has the exclusives, but then goes on to write 'What's to say MS don't...' Aren't journalist meant to deal with facts! Seems the writer is merely speculating.
I hope 360 users do get what they want in terms of games. However, I really can't see why it's important who wins what? The gamers are the winners in the end?
Let's forget about sales/console race. It's school boy stuff!...
Not entirely sure why i'm getting disagrees? I don't mind Cell tech in PS4, so long as the games are awesome. I'm more into games than hardware.
It seems Cell migration to PS4 isn't a popular idea around here?
Look this is just my opinion...but I hated FF13. It was very boring to begin with, and by begin i mean 10 - 15hrs in.
I dream of a FF7 remake on both PS3/360. It's my understanding NGP/3DS are getting it. That's cool, but it's a slap in the face to all who called for it on console.
Hope it fixes everything for 360 owners :)
...i'm happy this game did not become a commercial flop either. We need new IP's to survive in this industry, otherwise we'll be stuck with endless sequels for fear of failure.
The quality of the visuals in God of War 3 will be remembered long after PS3 has gone.
As does GOW1 & GOW2 before it.
Sony will more than likely stick with Cell technology for PS4. It makes sense since they can manufacture the Cell cost effectively as they now own the plant. Also, it pretty much guarantees BC with PS3 games. Developers have more or less become more adept with Cell, and have invested heaps in doing so. I'm aware of an evolved version of Cell IBM had completed before they ceased working with it.
Think Sony maybe more mindful of costs next gen.
I like the survival horror style approach Insomniac are taking with R3. There's a chance this could even go to 360 one day.
Insomniac are now a multi-plat developer, and I think everybody should get a chance to play the series and not just us PS3 owners. I wouldn't mind a bit of Gears love on my PS3.

I'm more concerned with rising game prices than format mediums. I see no evidence D/L is value, some D/L exceeds the packaged games cost??

Why can't gamers just be happy MS are trying to make more space available for their consumers and developers. This is a good thing RIGHT?

360 deserves more non-kinect games. It sells too well to not have its own big exclusive titles month in, month out. I'm showing some love for 360...even though I love my PS3 more :)
The dualshock needs to be slightly bigger (wider) and the L2&R2 buttons need to be triggers like 360's are. Otherwise its a great controller.
Looks good, but hardly original> resembles alienware pc towers. Makes the 360 look a little bulkier too, but nice colors :)
It does look improved. The textures look richer and the colors more vibrant. For an 360 game it looks incredible. However, on the same token it looks marginally improved. The UC2/UC3 comparisons are similar, in that UC3 looks improved, but marginally. There's only so much left in the tank for both PS3 & 360.
I am a PS3 user only, but even I have to agree it looks amazing considering the hardware limitations.
The 3DS will not fail. The demographic for this device is huge! If not the core gamer, then the casual will lap this tech up. Nintendo are pretty good at marketing, so just based on marketing and the ever growing casual market will see 3DS a success. I personally am more interested in NGP, but the 2 can and will co-exist perfectly IMO.
I'm planning on getting this...but so many other games to get too. Priorities!
Until recently (maybe), Japan was the holy mecca of video games. I love the jap-centric style, so I tend to go for Japanese consoles.
Although credit to MS for the success. They managed to do what no american company has since Atari 2600 :)
