Personally, I think Sony should have dropped development of a PSP successor, especially after Nintendo revealing 3DS.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the PSP, but if it's just a turbo PSP with touch screen then it's already failed.
I was never attracted to the PSP as I saw it as nothing more than a PS2 portable. The DS is basically a souped up N64, but at least Nintendo marketed it well and provided a new experience with it.
I'd imagine the best graphics for 2010 would have been on a powerful PC, simply because it's an ever evolving/upgradable platform.
But if we're talking consoles, in my opinion only & not in any order.
God Of War 3, Heavy Rain, Uncharted 2 - PS3.
Reach, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake - 360.
If we're all honest about this, there's not a whole lot of difference (Graphically) between the 360/PS3...

I for one would never buy a product merely because it's a 'British' product.
After visiting California and Florida, all I saw was how wonderful American people are. It took actually going there to throw out all the misconceptions I had.
After 4+ years on the market, if any 'American' doesn't know what the PS3 can do, they are either not real gamers, or blinded by pathetic patriotism (I must buy American).
I'm not offending all Americans, just the tits that pledge and worship a flag over everything else, and think it's the only place on gods green earth.

The MS philosophy is to throw money at everything and see what happens. We can't discount their success, but at what cost?

Nope. Console wars have existed since Colecovision & Atari waaaay bk in the late 80's. It drives the hardware sales and keeps the competition on their toes. Nothing wrong with Console banter, it's a bit of fun that some take too seriously.

The only issue I took with the last engine was the terrible character models. Even back then, they were a disgrace. The backgrounds are still amazing to this day though.
I so enjoyed the last one, you soon overlook the poor characters once engrossed into the story. Day one purchase for me :)
It has to be said...after watching VGA 2010 trailers, it further cements the fact that MS has no stellar 360 exclusives for 2011 except for Gears3 and Forza4.
Before the backlash ensues, don't count 360 games as exclusive if they are PC as well, and don't list games that may or may not be released 2011 eg Halo 4.

It's been good and bad for Sony this generation.
Good, Sony have really connected with the hardcore fraternity. Most of the Sony 1st party games are beyond replicating on the competitors consoles.
Bad, the launch wasn't great, the console learning curve was tough on developers, and Sony (admit it) is whack at marketing.
But being behind has worked out for us gamers, and will do good for Sony, because they have to work harder to ...

Good thing MS allows installs to HDD, even though most ppl won't care to disc swap, a lot of ppl still don't have a HDD on their 360...
