Games are a luxury that don't have to be afforded so to say they're too expensive is assuming that they're a necessity. Buy and play what can be afforded comfortably.

I wholeheartedly agree.

Even if they did none of those things it was their world that was championed in the series. That speaks a higher volume than opinions of those not adding anything more than their 2 cents.

Redemption will never be had in a community that expects perfection with little to no understanding of what it takes to be great. I enjoyed the game thoroughly, given I was expecting the challenges because I understood the limitations they were facing. They've done everything needed to be done by NOT giving up and leaving it in the state that it was. All those still trashing the game, most likely, have never been great at anything so they will always have something negative to say about i...

I mean, why not get the exclusive deal when the numbers SHOW that the weakest sales are on XB platforms. Why even waste the time launching on a platform with a community that expects everything to be on GP. Get the year to exclusively be on a platform that's proven that they've got a community of buyers then launch on GP to get more money than they would waiting for XB to produce like PS.

Note: Sony doesn't "lock out" Xbox players, they do by not spen...

It's funny how everyone not developing are experts on who's average or not while being in a comment section of a game site. Like these companies are doomed to remain mediocre and have no ability to improve. Perhaps some of you have accepted being average but don't assume everyone is limited to where you may be.

To intentionally kill off the pivitol male entities only serves to feed into this ongoing "woman empowerment" movement that's plaguing the entire entertainment industry. Most people wanted to see the continued growth of the Jole and Ellie dynamic but agendas took a front seat instead. It is alarming to see that social bias is invading the one place that it shouldn't.

To be fair, JRPGs have a home everywhere but to measure based on a game being included on a service is not a proper metric of measurement. As is understood across many industries, money talks, so allow the game to be released at retail before putting it on the service. To say that a game is successful because there's a community willing to play it because it's offered as a collective only aims to measure engagement. That's all well and fine but showing that something is valuable b...

You guys are aware that there is no such thing as anticonsumer, right? It's nothing but a buzz word created to provoke unrest between companies and consumers. There are those who can afford products and those who can't. It's simple as that.

@Elda

You are correct; Elden Ring is far from being "meh"....to you. Different people, different tastes, different standards. Elden falls short in many regards, to me.

GOTY? Yeah from sales alone, I can see it happening, though there's nothing fresh enough about its formula that stands out, to me. It was played and soon forgotten.

Credibility? It's subjective. For some of us, Elden was "meh", at best.

I share the same sentiment as you do, plus I'm choose fidelity over fps every time. This supposed anger coming from every direction gives me "I wasn't going to buy it anyway" vibes. For those claiming they can't play games in 30fps, how did you do it before or did you just start gaming?

It would seem that the metrics trump the game itself. You'll often find these behaviors in those who need a false sense of superiority over others.

I personally don't care about resolution nor fps over writing, character/level design, or fun factor. I've not gotten snobby enough to forgo playing a game, that I've not the talent to create myself, for something as trivial as resolution or fps. I tend to understand that there are limits that go beyond the limits of my understanding. Another game purchased and enjoy this month for me.

Curious; so if God of War were to be announced having only 30fps and 1440p r...

So resolution and fps does what for the story or mechanics again? This need to feel superior for the most marginal privileges is growing increasingly tiresome.

1239d ago 1 agree8 disagreeView comment

Exactly, all these people taking all this time to complain weren't planning to buy it anyway. Mine is already paid for.

A 7 is not a bad score and it gives me something to play while waiting for the more notable options of play.

While there is some understanding as to why they are still focusing on last gen I am more than relieved that devs are making the decision to push toward the current generation options.

In what instance? Sales?!?! That's fine, but when a person is ready to buy that new premium TV or surround sound it is often not the Switch that motivates the desire. There are more basic desires than there are advanced ones; look at the sales of a Toyota Corola and a Porsche Boxter S. The Toyota "wipes the floor" with the Porsche, sales wise. Though when a person becomes that successful lawyer, CEO, or doctor their aims are to ditch the days of the Toyota and buy themselves a P...
