If you're ignoring the math of buying opposed to playing for free then I guess laughable is a thing. 1 million spenders will always trump 1 million players for any company, I assure you. Sony could only sell 300,000 at full retail to make 21 million, while 1,000,000 players on GP would generate 15,000,000 minus the cost of paying to get the game on the service. That's a sizable enough margin to advocate for buying over subscribing and it's only 1/3rd of the players. Just an exampl...
That's all fine and well but if you're not complaining there's no problem. Throwing money around or having no value for it isn't the reason that people of means spend money. Not to say that there aren't those that fit that mold, but to most cost is a nonfactor. My friends and I actually like to experience high-end toys and none of us do it to show off or throw money around. How else would you know what a sports car is like without buying it? The factor is as easy as, do I ...
People who have a problem with the price are often not in the position to spend anyway. Otherwise, why complain? Is the price going to magically come down because they're not happy about it? Isn't that what price drops and sales are for? Early adoptors, often times, have little to not concern for pricing because it's all about having the experience hot out of the oven for them. We can't keep assuming that the affluent don't exist and that they have no interest in gaming. W...
Perhaps for the very reason you enjoyed it....for entertainment. Simple
Greatest Hits requirements were 250k+ after 9 months on the market.
95% of the population is below to average in their performance so to compare volume is not a proper measurement of impact. How many people throughout history are exceptional? A grossly lower percentage of those who were present so to dismiss the minority of those willing to stand out by not going along with the masses greatly devalues their impact. Last I checked the world's wealth, brilliance, and acquisitions are held by a meager 5% as well so does the scarcity of their numbers prevail ...
To say that there is a lack of understanding is pure nonsense, every person has their preference to what experiences resonate with them. Zelda, while one of my favorite games, did not capture the magic found in previous title like Wind Waker and Phantom Hour Glass with BotW.
Zelda will never be forgotten, that's a fact, but the level of forgiveness it receives is jarring given how much tougher the community was on the games it borrows from.
Parasite Eve was a very unique experience and I hated what they did with 3. 1 & 2 were definitely two of my all time favorites though.
I'll take R&C, Psychonauts, Astro Bot and Rayman any day over Mario. They have more character, challenge and emmersion.
I would gather, with all the financial restraints, that the Batman license was took expensive to include with this game. It makes sense that he would actually be dead.
I remember recently reading that there were more than 60 million subscribers. I could be wrong but this article is highlighting numbers from March 2022.
Minus the tank controls and fixed camera angles. I'd definitely purchase a remake if they modernize the formula. RE 1 was greatly influenced by the original Alone in the Dark games and it was responsible for bringing action horror games to the mainstream. I'd like it to be able to stand against other horror games like Dead Space, CP, and The Evil Within.
The problem is not that other games are compared to BotW, the problem rests in the fact that everyone acts like BotW was the first to accomplish what it did. It was a 1st for Zelda games, perhaps, but there were several games that BotW borrowed from. Those games are overlooked because they're not Zelda. That's the problem.
Brave Fencer Mushashi was one of my favorite PS1 games. It was massively fun and approached the Zelda formula with a parody element.
As do I, fidelity is paramount. All these people sounding off about fps are only doing so because it's become a topic of discussion, recently.
Raising prices is not screwing the customer as any financially literate person knows what's affordable for them or not. What we have with this mentality is the notion that you're supposed to be entitled to anything available no matter what. Games are a luxury that don't have to be afforded and with so many alternative options to play there's no need to go on a witch hunt for any company prioritizing their well-being. Prices need to be raised as they have been throughout histor...
Pretentious: attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed.
Not sure where there's an over exaggeration of importance in my statement, but the point still stands. Yes, very much so, get out of anything that's not easily afforded. Basic financial literacy, champ.
Man, I guess you showed me....🤣
A second party game is developed exclusively by a company not owned by a publisher. Insomniac and Sucker Punch were two examples of 2nd party before they joined Sony. Their exclusivity is based on loyalty and good relationship over ownership.
