BotW, Mario Kart, Skyward Sword, Twightlight Princess, Pokémon, ect. Nintendo is the MOST notorious when it comes to re-releases Sony is lightweight comparatively.
I hear all the man-child responses about how they're not willing to pay this or that but would advocate for a raise for themselves. Just remember when you're living pay check to pay check that your companies are only willing to pay you at a discount too.
Sony implemented Haptic, SSD, and Tempest which all cost more in development time. Unlike Sony; Nintendo, Microsoft or otherwise haven't added anything unique to enhance the gaming experience enough to justify the price hike in that regard. Though with games becoming more complex to develop the need for more talent is also costly so the hike was an inevitable outcome.
Difference between rape and pricing is one gives you a choice while the other doesn't. Speaks volumes that this point has to even be explained.
HELL YEAH!!..This just added so much more value to GP for no one. Local multi-player? Really? What's next? Intellivision games?
Has to be something for Nintendo to announce Zelda today. Do they know something we don't?
SquareEnix....Nintendo just announced Zelda randomly too.
Where they hell is it contending for greatest game of all time? I can't, for the life of me, see what BotW did so groundbreaking in a whole ocean of games with better writing, environments, graphics, mechanics, and execution. The comparisons are likened to the ugly girl who can't get over the fact that she shared a smoothie with the hot guy once. Get over it, no one is forgoing playing Horizon, Elden, or any other game you claim drew its inspiration from BotW. Perhaps Nintendo fans bu...
Exactly, it's like Nintendo fans can't get passed BotW because they've got no other example of half way decent adventures on the Switch. There should be a point that you realize that BotW was not the 1st of its kind and there are MANY other games that have/will do it better. It's cringe worthy that they pretend that BotW somehow invented something new. It might be the first time that Nintendo fans have experienced something like BotW but for the rest of us it's a pretty st...
The is no dry spell; there's always something to buy or play.
To be fair, what have we seen that shows that it punches above its weight? How well it runs last gen games? Are we actively ignoring the real measures of strength? This narrative of how capable a machine it is when it often runs the previous generation offerings is getting tiresome. If there's yet to be any true example of prowess for the SX what hope does the S have outside of it being cheaper? Tell us, how many current gen games have you played that run well on the S? Isn't Flight S...
You guys are aware the innovation doesn't always have to deviate far from the original format. This is really just Ipod to Walkman. Sony already had the successes that came with Walkman so now they're moving towards their own iPod success. Apple controlled the hardware while Sony owned and managed the content that which it thrived on.
What BS decisions? How do they affect you? If the industry shows they don't care as much as the small minority does then it's a sound decision. Business doesn't often make sense to consumers because their understanding is most likely centered around personal convenience.
The bitterness is real and easily remedied by purchasing the console that it's available for.
You're hoping....
Yeah tarnished their legacy with who?
They being a multibillion dollar company. Sony should focus on more than just one avenue of gaming, it makes sense to me.
Because they're smart enough to generate billions yearly. They might know a little bit better than most of us how things should work.
Makes a lot of sense when the platform you're developing for doesn't have a community willing spend like the other ones do. They're unwilling because they're not getting a return on their investments. No one should give what takes time, money, and effort away for free. If you want to see it on your preferred platform show that services like GP aren't needed to thrive by paying full retail like Nintendo and Sony supporters do. Simple....
