Now both videos are pieces of crap. And there's nothing to distinguish them from current shooters with both looking very similar to Call of Duty 4 in terms of frantic gameplay. Although Resistance seems to have a more UT3 pace to it. Problem is those games are already on the shelves and will have been for 12+ months when these titles finally come out.
Why aren't they pushing the 8 player coop in Killzone and the 60 player multi in Resistance? Why are the videos awful? Sony should...

I'd never heard of Eric Quall before but I won't easily forget about him. The combat is cool with an emphasis on speed and reflexes (during quicktime events). The driving is average at best. And the shooting with cover mechanic works surprisingly well. To me the driving is the most enjoyable feature of the new and improved GTAIV. It takes skill and the right choice in car for a job which adds tremendous depth to missions and online, where otherwise you could just drive anything burnout style.
For those with problems, give it time and patience and jump in a real car and realise you can't drive anywhere if you just put your foot to the floor (or pull the triggers fully).

I know you haven't got Mass Effect, which is a real evolution for RPGs, or Lost Odyssey, which is the finest JRPG this gen so far, but you do have Folklore which was pretty unique and interesting.
Fight Night 3 is still one of my favourite sports titles and I was a tad concerned with all this Facebreaker business. Can't wait for this title and playing as *in very high pitched voice* Mike Tyson! Sweet.
