Online play for the Switch is going to be a joke, the company really has no clue how to design gaming hardware and network infrastructure.
Agreed. And the 3DS hardware is ancient, outdated junk, it needs to be retired already.
My apologies, I was browsing on my tablet in a location with terrible wifi, and the details about the consoles weren't coming up at all. You're correct that there was a fair amount of information posted.
That's really embarrassing. Still the "article" literally has no information about anything, and doesn't deserve to be posted on N4G.
The author of this article seems to be confused between the new Atari flashback mini console and the Genesis flashback mini console. The article also doesn't list the games and has no "preorder details".
Very doubtful. Switch is selling on hype and artificial shortages, not for the games. Almost no 3rd party developers are supporting it, so that leaves only first party Nintendo games and indies, not enough to keep the system selling. Once people realize that the games aren't coming, sales are going to tank hard.
Very doubtful. This is going to be a cheap mini console, it won't play any PC games and won't include PC hardware in a cheap little box.
Actually you were almost correct, understandable that you could be confused. The Anthology does include SSV, but not the revised version SSV Special, which included bloody fatalities. I own the Neo Geo AES version of SSV Special (unfixed), and am in the process of selling my entire Neo Geo collection. The unfixed version should sell for around $5000, many Neo Geo games are extremely expensive in the collector market.
The Anthology didn't include SSV Special:

Switch sales are going to fall off a cliff later this year, once people realize that there are almost no big 3rd party games coming out for it. The handheld will be left with only first party Nintendo games and some indies, since it is unable to match current generation consoles. The exact same thing happened to the Wii U, and that console failed miserably. We all saw the incredible hype that surrounded the Wii U at the time of its launch, there were many people who preordered it from 3-4 dif...
Once people realize that there are very few games coming out, sales of the handheld are going to tank hard, just like they did with the Wii U. Switch is selling on hype/artificial shortages alone, mainly to the usual hardcore Nintendo fans, but there aren't enough of those fans to keep it healthy in the future. And there certainly aren't enough 3rd party developers supporting it, without which it doesn’t have a chance (just look at the Wii U for proof of that).
Unfortunately, other than a handful of first party Nintendo games, this trend will continue on the Switch for quite a while. Doesn’t make it a very appealing platform.
Pretty embarrassing stuff, most of the games have been out on other platforms for a long time (and are a lot cheaper). If things continue like this, the Switch is going to have a rough future.
By now the Wii U should be $50 or less, such a poorly-designed, low-spec, feature-lacking system. And if your gamepad fails, which can easily happen, the system becomes a worthless brick.
Here's why 2017 won't be the "Year of the Switch": games. The Switch just isn't going to get enough of them, with very few good 3rd party games, and entire genres almost entirely missing (fps, shmups, racing, etc).
Unless you simply must play the usual Nintendo games like Mario and Zelda (less and less people are), the Switch has (and will continue to have) very little to offer in terms of game variety and quality. Certainly way less than the real c...
This article would have been a lot more interesting if it had covered high-value retro games that are more commonly available, such as NES, SNES, and Neo Geo games. It's kind of useless to write an article about games that no one will ever see or encounter in their lives. An example is that I am liquidating my Neo Geo collection, and got $2700 for Last Blade 2 (after commission, the actual sale price was $3500).
Terribly disappointing game. I was looking forward to it and preordered copies for both the PS4 and XBox One, but I returned both of them due to the severe lack of single player content. Shame on Codemasters for ruining a great franchise.
This game ruined the Micro Machines franchise, with almost no single player content. I preordered copies for both the PS4 and XBox One, and returned both unopened after reading the reviews. I'm sure that the game failed miserably, too bad Codemasters bungled it so badly.
