It's easy to hit 60fps when all the games are simple cartoony stuff, with very little complexity in terms of graphics. Certainly nothing to crow about, LOL!

"Nintendo Switch Third-Party Support Beginning to Grow"

Not really. So far the Switch has mostly a handful of first party Nintendo games and some indies that are already on the other platforms. Ultimately the Switch won't be getting strong 3rd party support due to its much weaker specs than the real consoles on the market. They traded off power for portability, and in so doing sacrificed a large portion of 3rd party games, which won't adequately run on the...

Multiplayer only = throwaway game. Without solid single-player content, it wasn't going to last long or appeal to a lot of people anyway.

Yep, including the Swiitch, a portable Wii.

No, the reason that the Switch only has a 720p screen is because Nintendo made the hardware as cheap as possible, to save money and pad their profits. Lowering the resolution of the screen saved money, as did going with only 4gb RAM, older Tegra processor, smaller battery, cheaper wifi, etc. This has nothing to do with Nvidia and everything to do with Nintendo.

I understand that you're the author, and I give you credit for recognizing that the Wii and Wii U were both disappointing failures (they both really were poor consoles, we can all agree on that). However the Switch has many serious design flaws and issues with poor specs that you should be calling out. Stop giving this company (Nintendo) a pass when it comes to being honest about their poorly-designed hardware. Their only goal is to make the cheapest possible hardware, then throwing in a ...

We are now almost in September, and sales are slowing way down. I saw 7 Switch consoles at my local Best Buy just yesterday, and I've seen them at Target and Walmart too recently. Remember the ridiculous hype around the Wii U at launch? Remember people ordering Wii U consoles from 2, 3, even 4 different retailers because they were afraid they wouldn't be able to even get one? Hype and artificial shortages are how Nintendo whips up demand. They've done it for many years. And that...

No, it doesn't "sell itself". The Switch was clearly rushed to market, which is why it's had problems with warping, screen scratching when docked, desynching joycons, poor wifi, and poor battery life. It also has a very limited library (mainly first party Nintendo games and a few indies), and it can't properly handle 3rd party games due to the much weaker hardware. After the initial hype and artificial shortages died down, sales have greatly slowed, and it is widely avai...

The website this article is posted on is nintendoenthusiast.com, not PlayStation enthusiast.com. All of their articles paint Nintendo in glowing terms and are far removed from reality. I don't care who wrote the article, just look at the website it's posted on and you can easily see the bias. Wake up to reality and open your eyes to the truth.

"Switch Portability Speaks To Me Greater Than 4K Gaming"

Website: nintendoenthusiast.com

Why are we not surprised? This website should be nintendoapologist.com, all they do is make excuses and run damage control for Nintendo's mediocre products.

The problem with this game (and the original version) is that it's coop only, no single player content. Waste of time for most gamers who just want to sit down and play.

No one should purchase any digital games from Nintendo until they change their harsh anti-consumer policy of tying digital game purchases to hardware, instead of account (as Sony and MS do). Nintendo has been greedy and unwilling to trust their loyal fans, operating as if everyone is trying to rip them off when asking to have games transferred to another console. Vote with your wallets, just don't buy any digital games on any Nintendo platforms until they change this ridiculous, anti-con...

That is one butt-ugly system, can't believe anyone would buy it. And the 3DS is ancient, obsolete hardware, it was time to move on from it years ago, when the 3D fad died out.

This game was completely bungled by Codemasters, and it looks like it bombed hard. I preordered copies for both platforms, but returned both unopened after hearing that there is almost no single player content. Huge disappointment.

Unfortunately very few of those games are bigger retail releases, with most being small indie games. And it doesn't look like 3rd party developers are on board with the Switch, which doesn't bode well for the future of the handheld. Without solid 3rd party support, and without a diverse library of games, the Switch will follow the same path as the Wii U. Add in the many defects and design issues (bending, scratching screens, joycon desynching, bad wifi, excessive heat) and the future...

Or don't, and just save your money for PS4 and XBox One games and consoles.

Who would be foolish enough to trade in the much better PS4 or XBox One for a Switch, which has almost no 3rd party games coming out in the near future? Makes no sense at all. Wait until the Switch actually has a decent library of games, if that actually ever happens. As of now, there aren't many games out for the Switch and very few coming in the future, besides a handful of first party Nintendo games. Meanwhile the PS4 and XBox One have much larger and more diverse libraries of games an...

This game completely failed to recapture the fun of the older Micro Machines games. Being mainly online-only with almost no single player content was a huge disappointment. I returned both copies (one for each platform) unopened to the store, not going to support poor games.

"So hype is a bad thing now? Isn't that what the PS4 was propelled off of?"

The elephant in the room which you can't seem to recognize is that the PS4 actually delivered on the hype, and has become a very successful console with many fantastic games in many genres. Switch hasn't done that at all, unless you are one of those dedicated Nintendo fans who simply adore their first party games. The small core of diehard Nintendo fans has been shrinking ever ...
