Unbelievably crappy "deals". Those games should all be sub $20 by now, what a ripoff.

Don't feel bad, "gamesdeal.com" is a shady website that you shouldn't be dealing with anyway, it has tons of negative reviews, sells region-restricted keys, and probably sells stolen keys or keys bought with stolen CCs. Here's a review on Resellerratings:

Hard to believe, but it's true. Wii U is a disaster, even in Japan, where they absolutely love gimmicks.

Wii U is dying, even in Japan? I thought they were the last hope for the system, how sad.

More cheap gimmicks for people to waste their money on. So sad how Nintendo has degenerated into a company that relies entirely on gimmicks to survive. How the mighty have fallen!

@ EDMIX

Don't bother trying to reason with wonderfulmonkeyman on any issue relating to the Wii U. He's one of the biggest apologists for the system on this site, makes excuses for every bungled product and bad decision from Nintendo. He always points fingers at everyone else but Nintendo, and simply refuses to admit that they have ever made a mistake in their existence.

The vast majority of the public knows that the Wii U is a substandard product, lac...

It really isn't that great a deal, considering the tech you get inside the console. The Wii U is really more like a half-generation beyond the PS3/360, and even then, the CPU in the Wii U is weaker than both those older consoles (especially the 360 CPU, which is way more powerful than the Wii U's CPU). And of course, many expected features that have been in consoles for over a decade, were outright omitted from the Wii U, to make up for the high cost of the gamepad. That is why the...

@ Ck1x

It's funny, because you call me a hater and criticize my remarks, then turn around and completely validate them with your well-thought-out statements! I really believe that a lot of your points are right on target, and they really support my points a lot more than contradicting them.

Remember, I said the Wii U was "one of the worst" consoles ever made, not THE worst. And I totally agree that the Wii console before it is a worse option. ...

@ wonderfulmonkeyman

As usual, you make excuses for all of Nintendo's blunders with the Wii U, and you point fingers at everyone BUT Nintendo when it comes to the abject failure of the system.

The sad fact is that diehard Nintendo fans are enabling and supporting Nintendo's poor products, meagre game selection, dismal 3rd party support, and poor online infrastructure. There is a small core of diehard Nintendo fans who will accept ANYTHING that Ninten...

A better title for this article would be "How the Wii U Made Nintendo Irrelevant in the Video Game Industry". Far from "modernising" Nintendo, the Wii U is one of the worst consoles they have ever released, just behind the awful Wii. Nintendo no longer tries to produce solid, competitive gaming hardware. They instead design the cheapest possible product, cutting every possible feature out to keep their costs to a bare minimum, then they throw in a gimmick to reel people i...

Too bad it was ruined by that gimmick where you have to draw silly shapes on the gamepad screen to make weapons. I think that's why most people skipped the game, and it sold so poorly.

Shame that the game is poorly balanced for single players, seems like it is mainly made for coop play. That's why I am skipping it, the devs really should have made it more balanced for single players.

Unfortunately this game isn't really optimized for single players, it's really designed just for coop. Too bad, it looked like it could have been a fun game. Decided to skip it until it hits the bargain bin.

The missing DLC understandable, since 3rd party devs can't even make their money back from base game sales, much less the added effort of DLC. And let's be realistic, the nature of diehard Nintendo fans is that they whine incessantly about lack of games/DLC on the Wii U, but when games actually come out, they simply don't buy them. They really just stick with Nintendo's own iconic franchises, and ignore everything else. So the fans bear a lot of blame for this situation as w...

Wow, you can play games with just a GTX 970 graphics card? Where do the games get stored, or where do you put the disc in to get the games started? And how can you play them without a case, power supply, motherboard, hard drive, RAM, DVD/bluray drive, etc.?

That old "yeah Wii U may be crappy, but PC is better than everything" argument is nothing more than a smokescreen to divert attention away from a poorly designed console. Console gaming is popular for many rea...

At this point, nothing can "save" the Wii U. Many more indies are coming to the other two consoles, so having a few on the system isn't going to change anything.

It's a shame that Nintendo gimped the console so badly, leaving it unable to compete this generation. They have only themselves to blame for the failure of the Wii U.

4109d ago 2 agree5 disagreeView comment

Except, the Wii U doesn't "succeed" at all, and that is solely Nintendo's fault. They built the entire console around the gamepad gimmick, and heavily scaled back the specs and features of the base console. They thought they could repeat the same formula that worked (for a while) with the gimmicky Wii, but it failed.

And even after several "flagship" games, it's clear that the Wii U is a failure; it's never going to climb past a distant 3r...

That was digitally, but the retail "boxed" version for NA is still in limbo. I'm very interested in this game, but I prefer physical releases where possible, so I'll wait for the retail release.

This game could have been so much better, but Nintendo completely ruined it by forcing the use of the gamepad. The levels look super colorful and amazing, but who wants to play a platforming game using exclusively touch controls? And who wants to stare at the tiny, low-rez 6" screen instead of using their much larger TV screen? Does Nintendo even play test their games? A missed opportunity on Nintendo's part, and further evidence that the company is more focused on gimmicks than actu...

Unfortunately this game fell victim to the same kind of problem that so many other Nintendo games do, it is ruined by a gimmick. Having to draw on the gamepad while playing the game, constantly looking back and forth between the TV and gamepad just ruins the immersion. Another example of how distracting the gamepad is when playing games, what a shame that Nintendo built the entire console around that gimmick.
