The voice actors are the official ones, or at least they sound so.
Thus, this video is probably a real production from Valve. But with phrases like "he's here to f- us", it might need a little bit editing.
Why is the total sales (US + Japan) post repeated plenty of times in the replies? This is as if somebody copy-paste replies to every thread in the discussions.
I did a small research on this card. There are some reviews on reputable sites that clearly say average of 40+ FPS at that configuration.
I'll be nitpicking if I say, that does not include FSAA or AF, but yep, that would be nitpicking.
I have an ATI 3870 OC (overclocked). I can run pretty much every game at high quality at 1280x800, while some at 1920x1200 (older ones like DOOM 3, or HL2). I don't have crisis, but I was able to run the demo at a high quality at 800p with ~30fps, and at very high with much worse results.
For a "crude" comparison, it provides ~550GFLOPS (when overclocked), while this card (4890) does 1.6TFLOPS.
Of course it can. Even mine can do that.
However if you ask whether it can do this with 1920x1080 @60 FPS, no it cannot. I guess no single card can right now.
They forgot to mention my 2408WFP. It has better picture, more connections, and overall higher quality than any of the mentioned ones.
Anyways, I should not care much.
You cannot use SCUMMVM for Grim Fandango. The game uses a completely different (i.e.: 3D) engine. Same for the escape from the monkey island.
Check:

Btw, both Grim Fandango, and SCUMMVM are good thing. Just they don't work together.
However who asks for extra money is not Microsoft, it's the developer/publisher of the game.
You do pirate games, and admit it. And even call it "not a bad thing".
Many game developers were laid off, and several studios were closed because of economical situations. If a game is worth your time, why aren't its developers worth compensating with your money?
Yes, I know, you've better ways to spend your hard earned cash.
The piracy ratios are different. In pirated platforms 360 sells games, so does DS. Unfortunately PSP does not (that really is sad, since PSP is much better than DS).
And or course PC with a %90 percent ratio (from several developer figures), is not good for game publishers.
When you install Windows (any version) IE is *the* default browser, until you install another one. How is this different on Windows 7?
And... anybody that has the ability to install Firefox, probably also has the ability to switch back to it, if IE becomes default by mistake.
Why are Firefox guys making a fuss about this?
It's a nice little virtual machine that will let you play your favorite DOS games.
And there are many freeware/shareware DOS games out there that you can download from the web.
For example give Tyrian 2000 a try (it has been re-released as freeware). It's one of the best shooters of all time.
Stuff happens, and it's OK if not frequent, and fixed quickly.
But in Bethesda's case, it's frequent (as in always), and not fixed quickly.
If you have a capable computer you should definitely buy a blu-ray player (some deals are around $75 right now). But you're right, until the media gets cheap the writer is luxury.
If you get Fable II, do install it onto hard drive. It really affects the performance.
How did you do that? When I tried everything had very small points, and it seemed my time lost was much valuable than the stuff they offered.
Unfortunately as long as there are hundreds of people ready to pay $60 for the game lining up in front of each store, it will not happen.
I guess their main problem was the concurrent release with the movie. Thus they could not tell their publisher to delay the game for more polishing work. (It would be better late than with bugs).
However I hope they'll continue the development and fix the issues with a title update (before I buy the game).
It was fun, and except for two bugs I encountered, the gameplay was fluid too. My only complaint is the game is too easy (finished on normal without dying once).
This may be because the modes were not ready for retail launch.
Writing game modes (software programs) take time, and if you have a deadline (like a game launch), you cannot finish everything you want.
It probably is worth plenty of programmer time (which costs 40k-100k/year), however I personally will not buy this DLC, no.
